"Government enterprise is bad because it's not private enterprise" is a silly circular argument.

Let me try to explain the economics to you. The reason government and other nonprofit organizations are unfit to provide any product or service is that they do not face the discipline of the marketplace. When private companies do a poor job, they are the ones who ultimately suffer by not turning a profit or going bankrupt. When government and other nonprofit organizations do a poor job, nothing happens, they just keep going on and on and on. Can't you understand this?

Except in the case of Wall St banks. They get to drive the entire world into insolvency and then leave it up to the public sector to pick up the tab.

If banks are doing something wrong, it is the government's job to take any necessary action to prevent reoccurrences. The government should not pick up anybody's tab.

A noble ideal in the best of all possible worlds but it assumes that governments control the economy, which is a myth in a free-market world.

It's the government's responsibility to see that life and property are properly protected, and to neutralize criminal activity, but it should have nothing to do with the economy per se. That is the function of a free market.

Judiciary trials should not be conducted like a sporting event with winners and losers, prosecutors versus the defense, with the jury voting on the winner. Jurors should only be neutrally presented with evidence for and against the defendant, and their decision rendered on this and this alone, not on the theatrics of the prosecution and the defense.

You may find this suggestion personally challenging but confronting personal challenges is the meaning of life, the universe and everything. Why not give it a try? However it plays to our advantage in the long run because we become very adept at differentiating the real prophets from the not-so-real cage-rattlers and general shit-stirrers. I'm on to you, mate.
