No. I did not meant B.C. As far as I recall that means before Christ.
Now we refer to it as before the common era.

1,000 ce would be the year 1,000 of the common era.

1,000 bce would be 1,000 years before the common era.

They likely usually capitalize them but my grammar is poor.
