Is the mind the same as the body? What is consciousness? Can machines have it?

BB,
My gentle advice is a question. You say you have re-written Hegel many times in an attempt to grasp his thought and that it was a blinding flash of revelation that led you to this path. So why not write about any insights you may have gained from this process? Why the Greeks, why not Hegel?

In these times Hegel's Philosophy of Nature does not enjoy any special favor and liking .

The first part is nature's mechanics, meaning the subject matter of space and time, matter and motion and last free motion.

Next is physics beginning with the sun, the Elements, the Elements of oppostion, fire and water, the atmospheric process. specific gravity, magnetism sound and heat, refraction. electricity and lastn of physics the chemical process.

The last part the work is real totality of body considers geological, vegetable and animal nature.

Of what import would that be within a philosophy forum?

If its what you know and love then expound upon it.

Given this list I can understand where you have addressed some of these points. Why not ask what people would like to hear about? Or choose a starting point and provide(as concisely as you can please for the hard of imagination) a post upon each. That way others can have a framework with which to understand your thoughts.

I’ll start with Physics the scientific study of matter, energy force and motion. Physics starts with the sun a luminous matter that relates only to itself like a phosphorescent light it shines. The mode and manner in which sunlight reveals itself is it is everywhere present pure universal actualityhas the possibility of unifying with all things it enters into community with. Everything exists because of sunlight.

For instance, how does sunlight relate to earth? The answer sunlight relates to earth only on the surface. If earth surface were smooth, it would be only a mere gleam or shining image of something other. If you place two mirrors opposite each other the light becomes visible in the mirrors, each mirror image is only a reflection in another. Sunlight brightens up earth and makes it visible; the most important characteristic its gleam, it’s shining of something other then itself.

Earth is perpetually ignited and incited by sunlight because earth has rough, smooth, and pointed surfaces and this causes light and shade to arise. The relationship of the sun to earth brings the difference of day and night; without earth's connection to sunlight earth would be a without process. The sun mounts higher and higher is daytime and sunlight is caused by condition when it reaches its highest point sinks to its lowest to night. Sunlight is caused by condition.

If the ego could maintain in pure reflection it would pass into sunlight transparency. The phenomenon of sunlight is difficult to grasp, to say that objects are visible means sunlight lights up other. The chief characteristic of light is its gleam or its shining image of another object.

The ego exist as empty uncertainty only, a manner, a subjective that excludes others; only gives identity to self. Sunlight is different it manifest light for everyone. The actual active agent that kindles the process of the Elements is sunlight it arouses and governs the Elements; air, fire, water and earth they are the roots of individuality.

Physics starts with the sun

Which textbooks have you been reading?! Are you thinking of astronomy perhaps?

Astronomy is the study of the universe especially of motion, position, size, composition and behavior of the heavens. Kepler mathematician and astronomer divided the law of motion into rule. Astronomy merely displays a group of independent bodies essential to each other.

Without earth's connection to the sun and moon, it would be devoid of life, day and night, and of heat and cold. Look how the sun h moves higher and higher in daytime and when it reaches, its highest point sinks to night,

Physics is the act of affirming material existence maybe not identical but something, the sun being archetype. Sunlight illuminates but it also advances to become a real active agent that kindles the process of the Elements, arouses, and governs earth. The Elements, air, fire, and water, have power which kindles earth into a perpetual process ignites and incites by the motion of sun, and moon.

It is by sunlight earth has an atmosphere, a mixture of gases crucial for the survival of life. Then sunlight is a real active agent that kindles the process of the Elements, it arouses and governs. The utmost perfect being the sun well rounded sphere, which from its centre extends in all directions equally, as, for it can be neither larger nor smaller in one part or another.

The moon has nothing to do with any of these things. Without the sun there would be no earth so I guess you are right about this at least.
The Elements, air, fire, and water, have power which kindles earth into a perpetual process ignites and incites by the motion of sun, and moon.
Modern physics does not acknowledge the existence of the ancient elements of fire, water, earth, air and aether. Perhaps your mention of this long discredited theory explains why you think physics starts with the sun.

The sun is not a 'being', it is a ball of hot gas.

Your existence proves that these are not mutually exclusive.

The four chemical Elements, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen and carbon are abstractions of air, fire, water, earth thus for example water, air too are differentiated into oxygen and hydrogen. These abstractions are not integrated through each other, but through a third term.

Chemical Elements are called substances except for carbon are exhibited in the form of gases. Yet, they are substance. Nitrogen cannot be inhaled, does not burn; but can be oxidized. Air is oxygen, colorless, invisible odorless gas, burns a pale blue flame. Hydrogen burns as soon as the air or oxygen-gas have access to it, extinguishes burning substance under it. Also, it is incapable of supporting life. Oxygen the other side of this determinateness of opposition, is the negative activating principle, the essential principle in the formation of acids is without taste or smell, one of the non-metallic elements, a colorless invisible gas and it activates the former two Elements; Carbon is the fourth chemical Element, held to be the totality, the end of individuality, the chemical terrestrial element. In its transmutation form, it is combined in three forms; the Earth's crystallizes the diamond, the graphite and charcoal and carbonic acid gas, which exist in all organic compounds as carbonates. Carbon alone can exist by itself, whereas the other chemical Elements achieve their existence by force and only exist momentarily. Oxygen, hydrogen, and carbon are differing moments, which overcome into individual bodies that lose their one-sidedness.

Nitrogen cannot be inhaled

I think my lungs might have to disagree wiith there.
Carbon alone can exist by itself, whereas the other chemical Elements achieve their existence by force and only exist momentarily.
So oxygen in the air that we breath doesn't exist by itself? What about the ozone layer?

I've no problem with people being 'poetic' about science but you should at least try to get your facts right.

Nitrous Oxide, N20, that is, 2 Nitrogens with 1 Oxygen, colloquially known as 'Laughing Gas' is most readily inhaled and with pleasant effects ;)

Air splits up into chemical moments of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Hydrogen and Carbon, which together constitutes a totality yet each have separate existence.

In air different gases can occupy it, for example, take two globes; one is filled with air and the other steam. Now the one filled with steam can be poured out into the one filled with air and can receive as much steam as if there were a void of air.

Air seemingly harmless is faint and consuming over anything individual even though behaves passive, its transparent fluidity is elastic moves freely and pervades everything. Air stands in relationship to sunlight is absolutely penetrable and transparent, without any affirmed individualization. Air is opposed to individuality has real power to decompose individuality as purely corrosive. This destruction is invisible, motionless and passive enters everywhere thus, what are individual breaks up in air.

One way to explain this is by showing the finest apparatus for producing fire; a cylinder is fitted with a piston, a disk and a piece of dry flammable material is placed at the bottom. When the disk forces air into the cylinder, the compressed air gives off a spark that lights the material

Fire absolute restless consuming exist on its own account different from air. Fire materializes and just as air consumes so too fire self-destructs. Fire destroys materials things and in destroying them destroys itself and thus fire is neutrality. It exists when in relation to material things, consumes material things and leaves them tasteless, odorless, indeterminate, and destitute. Fire conditioned like air exists only in an opposition it must have something to consume and without materiality it vanishes. What is consumed by fire is activated and inflamed. Then fire reduces to an indeterminate neutral state, extinguished.

The opposite of fire is water that through-going equilibrium that dissolves anything placed in it, water is solubility is capable of adopting into a liquid or solid state, is passive being-for-other, completely without determination, without cohesion, smell, taste or shape.

Like air water too is elasticity but is earthier than air, it seeks a center of gravity and individual. Now water has no center of its own, it lacks cohesion, only takes up a position on earth or a passing effect. Things under water cannot hold its own cancels out its pressure is like air transparent but since it is earthy, it is not so transparent.

A tendency of water to adhere, simply means water is wet it clings to substance. It clings to everything it touches except for oily and fatty substances.

Barbara Brooks wrote:Air splits up into physical accelerations of Helium, Fart Gas, Penile Implants and Essence of Christ, which together constitutes one damn good party yet each have a non-trivial orgasm.

In air different shades of shit can verify some things but not others, for example, take two globs of spit; one is filled with cold germs and the other semen (possibly from the act of fellatio). Now the one filled with semen can be poured out into the one filled with cold germs and can receive as much semen as if there were lots and lots of air.

Air seemingly feckless is funny and copulating over anything indivisible with liberty and justice for a small minority of investment bankers even though my pale fat ass behaves passive, its transparent fluidity is elastic moves freely and it's fart gas pervades everything. Fart gas smells in relationship to rotten eggiwegs is absolutely putrid and a tad opaque, without any affirmed collectivity. Air is opposed to erect penises and has real power to flaccidivise as purely turnoffabiltiy. This destruction is invidious, full of motion and massive and it prevents entering everywhere thus, what is fart gas goes up into air.

[More to Come]
Barbara,

I don't understand any of this!
