Yes, got cable, it's full of talk shows and police shows. Mythbusters or fishing, I'd watch fishing, anything is better than those two mythbusters. Maybe cable tv is like, every night is saturday night, type vibe.

The show 24 is on a lot. It tries to make torture more acceptable in the minds of those who watch. But apparently it is only used as a 'dramatic device' so no problem there:
