Intelligience is a Cure

Like the bacteria or virus, life with no intelligence does not understand the damage they cause. Thus lies the only discernible value of intelligence, it's ability to cure. Intelligence has no value to a bacteria, such as intelligence has no value to ape level humans. Value is only what you can feel, intelligence can be used as a tool to bring value, but it is not in of itself value. Humans use this tool as a selfish means to ruin the planet and bring pain to animals, but such things are unsustainable and selfish. It's starts with you, veganism is a sign of true intelligence.

Intelligence is a tool to our continued survival on this planet. Without it we would have gone extinct millions of years ago as we learned how to make weapons and tools, fire, etc. Also I am proud of what we humans have figured out using intelligence about ourselves and the world around us. Understanding is the key and I wouldn't want to replace it with anything else because I am proud to be human instead of a bacteria....

Viruses technically are not defined as life, for very important reasons, and I could explain why but it would be so boring you would die a little inside. Human beings who are "viral" on the other hand are.

Intelligence has no utility at all, but then you are putting the cart before the horse, utility? What does the blind watchmaker care for?

The only thing I think you can say is that eating is a good idea to complex life forms, usually more evolved than single cell life, any non sequitur after that is probably going to run afoul of what I said before.
