Have I got this right - it is about posing fictional philosophy questions and then asking for intuitive reactions from people around the world?
So, 'westerners' tend to intuit that Bob doesn't know and 'easterners' tend to say that he does.

It's an artificial problem, and exactly why philosophers are in so little demand out there. Science doesn't really deal in "truths" anymore exactly of this problem.

Truths are only used by people lacking rationality or being desperate.

Well, I think truths are a lot more interesting to chase that tails. The very reason you and I are able to have this conversation is because someone tried finding a solution to a problem.

Well, I think truths are a lot more interesting to chase that tails. The very reason you and I are able to have this conversation is because someone tried finding a solution to a problem.

Perhaps it depends on what 'truth' or tale you are chasing. It does seem that philosophy sets itself 'new' programmes so that the circle of wonder never ends...

I guess it's quite profitable for some. Amazon review and price worth looking at. I might be tempted to read it...if free.

I've worked in the quality department of a big newspaper, I understand that people like to speak nonsense and babble like you do and confuse it with great wisdom.

Being intelligent is the path to wisdom, thus one can solve problems, and predict outcome of great million dollar projects, something that you will never achieve.

It's even more funny that you are continuing it with someone who had no idea of philosophy before she stumbled upon this magazine years ago.

What's even more funny is the fact that I was just commenting on how far I have come since way back when Richard used to post in here. I never understood his philosophical jargon....so it was especially difficult for me....with my learning disability!

So good for you....you Have it all. Some of us are not so lucky to be blessed with intelligence and simply get excited when we can finally follow a writer who we used to admire.
