I haven't made one single effort to read that book...more importantly ANY book.

There is just no time for that type of activity.

I am glued to this computer - where the world is at my beck & call.

I think when I said Challenge accepted! - it was just a tiny part of me...a part, or an I, that hasn't re-appeared.

Life is too short.

All the best to you.

We know - no need to state the obvious.

Sad and delusional at the same time.

And a better example of what kind of person this 'Digital Revolution' is producing I can't think of. Doesn't know why he talks or thinks and can't remember because his attention span is so attenuated. A poor machine indeed.

I think, in a way, you may be right on both counts.

There is a title-wave of information & entertainment washing over you. You and I, who are alive in 2014.

It's just who we are. Who we have become.

Even sadder.

Contrary to what you believe Bill the information has always been out there, they were in things called Libraries, Schools, Universities.

But you are right, entertainment is the name of the game and it's just one great pap-fed festival for the insensate.
It's just who we are. Who we have become.[/size]
Wrong again Bill, as in the main those at the top of the pile are not allowing their children to develop this way as they wish them to inherit the rule over the children of the prole.

There is no conflict between the ideal of religion and the ideal of science, but science is opposed to theological dogmas because science is founded on fact.

To me, the universe is simply a great machine which never came into being and never will end. The human being is no exception to the natural order.

Man, like the universe, is a machine. Nothing enters our minds or determines our actions which is not directly or indirectly a response to stimuli beating upon our sense organs from without. Owing to the similarity of our construction and the sameness of our environment, we respond in like manner to similar stimuli, and from the concordance of our reactions, understanding is born.

In the course of ages, mechanisms of infinite complexity are developed, but what we call "soul" or "spirit," is nothing more than the sum of the functionings of the body. When this functioning ceases, the "soul" or the "spirit" ceases likewise.

There are many proofs as a man sees the dead body outside. How it can you explain the one-sided world view?

Original appearance changed, but a world view changed small. Also continue to live by a matter and does not understand Spirit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDidxZucGw8

Don't say it like it's not going to happen, there is still hope, and where there is hope, there is possibility. You humans may be machines. But perhaps you are the machines to do the job. The machines to end all things. The machines to end the universe, the greatest and most wonderful achievement of all!
