The difference between I shat something & I wrote something?

What's the difference between I shat something & I wrote something?
Both are excrements of the body.
Both are fertilizer for growth; change; development.
Why would we not look upon these two transformed products of the body philosophically, and appreciate them upon the same level.
Solid food goes into the body.
Impressions are absorbed into our bodies.
Words, thought, movement, shit are all precious transfigurations of being human.
Why on earth would we treat the manipulations of words by a famous philosopher on another scale from the shit I just flushed down my toilet?

Re: The difference between I shat something & I wrote someth
I once read a story about a child who liked to draw on the bathroom walls with Poop. One day while sitting on the potty the father came in to check on the child and found the child smeared with poop and poop drawings on the walls, he gave a yell for his wife and ran to the other bathroom to throw up. The wife cleaned up the child and walls while laughing her ass off at this big strong man throwing up over the sight of a little poop.
Perhaps children know more about philosophy than most grown ups.

In the past I have had trouble here at The Forum getting something like this title published without having a Mod or Rick delete it.
I am serious.
Words, writings, expressions are nothing but the excrement of the reality we experience.
In the last decade there has been an EXPLOSION of words, writings, expressions basically due to the internet.
Now we are able, for the first time in human history, to see how little words mean.
There are some here at The Philosophy Now Forums that almost deify past philosophers.
Although past philosophers serve a purpose, they pale in comparison to us active members.
...and I have pointed-out why in the past.

Well...give us a clue. Is the difference obvious?Bill Wiltrack wrote:

I think you have answered this question on several occasions in the past. Don't you usually say too many words makes your head hurt?Bill Wiltrack wrote:

Things go into the body, things come out of the body.
Nourishment comes into the body, excrement comes out.
Solid food, water, air, impressions, come into the body, shit, piss, carbon dioxide, thoughts, come out of the body.
In the past we have cherished, looked-to, and structured future hope upon the excrement of thoughts & words.
Now, with the explosion of words through the internet & the digital revolution, we may see thoughts for what they really are;
a by-product of impressions obtained in an experienced reality. A reality that cannot be improved upon.

I think the clue is in the word, "famous" and that whilst everyone can shit not all can or want to think philosophically, take you for example.Bill Wiltrack wrote:Why on earth would we treat the manipulations of words by a famous philosopher on another scale from the shit I just flushed down my toilet?[/size].

I wouldn't call me famous...not just yet.
I, I mean, here at The Forum - yes. But beyond that, no.
...and wait a minute...This thread isn't about me. It's about the philosophical concepts that I reflect and represent.
But thank you for being so kind.

Philosophers say it is important to be a student. That is, a slave with no rational thought of their own, just parroting everything taught to them. Their minds are perhaps so open that they fall and become a great smooze, soaking up the floor as they say, fearing to teach others anything original, partially because they have nothing original to say, and partially because they believe in being a lowly student for now and forever. Well, someone's gotta be the servant girl in the roleplay, right? For all we know they are reincarnations of Aristotle and Plato's gay orgy, thus as students, they are really the teachers, for all we know. Now remember kids, pass 101 before you pass go, philosphizi'n is for dead greek men only. You only have permission to regurgitate old ideas, look for minor typos, not create anything of your own, and fail to make the proper conceptual connections when examining new material. Someone's gotta wear the slave girl outfit.Bill Wiltrack wrote:.

Thus, this forum is littered with "shat" in the form of topics, as they say. Some funny ones include members freely admitting to their slave girl student mentality, for extra lulz. Even worse than the topics made of nothing, are the 5 page poorly written ones, or the ones written in an obscure style as a joke, just to drain you of all energy.
Here's a thought about life, death, and suffering. Who'd you rather be stranded on an island with? A dead greek philosopher and some of his writings, or an annoying shithead? I'd take the annoying shithead any day (Except for Greylorn, throw him overboard, I'd even take thedoc over him). But, with the dead guys book in my hands to teach the island a thing or two.
As far as creative energy, it really is pointless shit, really. Sure, your shit might not stink, but maybe people like the smell of poop. I sure love Youtube Poop, that's for damn sure. If you want to spread the truth, spread it, don't be facetious about it and put it in an alien language for noone to understand.

Doubt it. I think they say that it's important to study what has been said in Philosophy so that one does not re-invent the wheel.GreatandWiseTrixie wrote:Philosophers say it is important to be a student.
For sure you can do this but you'll be getting a third or at best a two-two as to get a two-one or a first you have to give your opinion and back it up with coherent reasons. That is, a slave with no rational thought of their own, just parroting everything taught to them. Have you studied Philosophy? As most of my teachers had produced original works in their areas.
The problem is that whilst it is original to you it's most likely not unique with respect to Philosophy.Well, someone's gotta be the servant girl in the roleplay, right? I agree but that's what you get when you combine the interweeb with those who have not bothered to study Philosophy. Thus, this forum is littered with "shat" in the form of topics, as they say. I'd take any of the Greeks over your shit-head as they apparently lived life to the full and it'd be great to compare the fiction with the reality. Here's a thought about life, death, and suffering. Doubt it, in my opinion Bill is wiser, and much less rude than you. Also the greek philosophy is okay and when you say "live life to the fullest" you sound silly, as in you think life can ever be filled. You also imply that their life is somehow more "real" and less "fictitious". Is it because you are a fan of greek architecture? Or is it because you feel overwhelmed and infatuated with greek ambience? Also you lie when you say you wouldn't want to live on an island with me, and would rather be alone with a dead guy. You say this because your primary goal is to post inflammatory material and intimidate. How ape-like.Arising_uk wrote:Doubt it. Poor job at refuting my assertions about students of philosophy not doing anything original. As most of my teachers had produced original works in their areas.

But ruder than you? We'll just have to agree to differ then.GreatandWiseTrixie wrote:Doubt it, in my opinion Bill is wiser, and much less rude than you. ...
Sorry my mistake as I think the idea of 'life' a nonsense as there are only living things and in the case in hand I meant that the Greeks in question appear to have had a variety of experience in their life which would make them interesting to meet. Also the greek philosophy is okay and when you say "live life to the fullest" you sound silly, as in you think life can ever be filled. ...
No, I implied that since pretty much all we know of the greek philosophers is from a couple of books it would be interesting to me to meet the actual man,You also imply that their life is somehow more "real" and less "fictitious".
No.Is it because you are a fan of greek architecture?
No.Or is it because you feel overwhelmed and infatuated with greek ambience?
Do I? I did not realise that you were the annoying shithead in question and I thought that the idea was to have the live dead guy? If you are saying that the choice is between an annoying shithead and a book I think you may be right, but I do really love books, hate annoying shitheads and am very comfortable in my own company. Is the annoying shithead female? Also you lie when you say you wouldn't want to live on an island with me, and would rather be alone with a dead guy.
You say this because your primary goal is to post inflammatory material and intimidate. How ape-like.
Ignoring my response that to get a good mark in Philosophy one has to posit their opinion not parrot responses. Now whether it is original or not will get you a first but a two-one will come from it being at least well-grounded and reasoned.Poor job at refuting my assertions about students of philosophy not doing anything original.

I'm like a reflecting pool. I'm only as rude as what you put into me. On the other hand, I'd say the ape is a fountain of rudeness. I'd say that as far as greeks go, the thought of time-travelling to meet one would offer a mild novelty, nothing more. To be honest, I think you'd be a bit disappointed, though you'd try to stuff your disappointment within.Arising_uk wrote:But ruder than you? I'd say 99 percent of what I say is accurate, well-grounded, and reasoned, with little margin for error. Humans tend to reject such things because it does not adhere with their learned dogma. Though, perhaps I was mistaken when I assumed your goal was to offer a personal attack. It's only natural for a soldier to assume hostile intent while in a battlefield.
