Which cultures do you feel are superior/inferior to yours?

How should society be organised, if at all?

That's basically how the first ten or so amendments came about. However, I think you are right when you say this would not be common knowledge in the U.S.
No The Bill of Rights had nothing to do with the USA as it was written 100 years before the WoInd

It doesn't???

You said THE "Bill of Rights", not the AMERICAN BoR.
THE Bill of Rights was written by John Locke in 1688.

Is that American arrogance or Ignorance?

In that particular post I did make reference to Federalists and Statists. I also made mention of knowledge within the U.S. I thought that was enough to suggest I was talking about the U.S. Bill of Rights.

I don't really know I'm not an American.

Since the pathway of evil in every society flows through an institutional grid of religious, cultural and social values, all cultures since the beginning of time are inferior to the one proposed by the American Energy Party (AEP).

PhilX
my understanding is that if you are already reasonably well off - coming to the Usa may offer you money making opportunities that are not available elsewhere

i know a couple of expat canadians who spent more of their working lives in the usa and they told me they would not have been able to make the sort of money they made here anywhere else. but they dont plan on retiring in the usa.

and both agree that out of the all the western countries being poor sucks more in the usa than it does anywhere else

It is part of North America.

It's a satellite of the West, sucked dry of resources. America draws off all the cheap labour for itself whilst also brain-draining the few that manage to do well.
Mexicans do perfectly well intellectually when they get the same opportunities. But they would just not rather live in a poverty stricken and dangerous country.

Inferior? Superior? Well that all depends upon perspective doesn't it? It's a bit relative, don't you think?

I really don't get these, "My country's better than your country, my country's better than yours," arguments. They're so friggin childish from my perspective. As if anyone can control in which country they were born. Or, as if, everyone can afford to move clear across the globe, to find that greener grass. OR, as if, every single individual in a country is directly responsible for the entirety of the state of that country. Such that in fact the winner of an argument as to which country is better than another, wins simply because they are lucky enough to be born in that country, and for no other reason, because in fact the state of any nation is created after many lifetimes of history, and is not done over night, because of your single vote.

You people that participate in such arguments really need to grow up!

Some places are better because those in charge are better, and some places suck because those in charge suck. And what it takes for either case to be the case, takes many generations of those types in charge, and or a long string of laws that allows either case to be the case. It's that simple people!

None of you individuals arguing about this crap, certainly had no direct affect on your country's case being that case, yet you thrust your chests out, and strut around like peacocks as if your country's case is a direct reflection of your doing.

Talk about clueless ego maniacs...

...you people need to get a clue, and a grip!

Sheesh!!!

Still...

Happy Holidays to all.

May you all actually open your eyes, so as to truly see, such that all your spheres finally balance.

And so, any one particular thing, is not necessarily an all inclusive box, for one to be placed. I agree! ;)

Happy Holidays, LM!

And aren't they regretting it as their biggest neighbour is a heavily armed crack-addled junkie whose habits and hypocrisy are causing havoc in their country. I think they should just bite-the-bullet and tax and legalise the drugs trade.

You sound like a conspiracy theorist when you blame everyone else's problems on America. So, there is not enough cheap labor in MX? That's their problem? That's what's holding them back - if they only had more cheap labor? Think about what you say. What resources were 'sucked' out of MX? By whom? How did they 'suck' it out?
