I've always needed answers.
I look to philosophy to steal ideas for my own use in the pursuit of these answers.
In the last several years I've found more ideas to steal from the ancient Egyptians than anywhere else.

What are you picking-up from the Egyptians?
I'm certainly not saying you are wrong , I have always felt that the value of philosophy; real philosophy, is to break away from the chains of set answers and frozen thought.
Reality...truth seems to me that it cannot be set inside of words ...inside of literal thought.

Mostly it's the way they see reality and the nature of their science but a lot of their beliefs survived the collapse of the ancient language.

Know the world in yourself. Never look for yourself in the world , for this would be to project your illusion

Not bad, sounds a little Zen. Did you think of that yourself, or did you read or hear it somewhere?

No, I did not think of that myself.
As humans, we are incapable of independent thought.
There was a link provided above.
I obtained the quote from there.
