Preparation as enabler?

I've been thinking, might it be that all we have to do, to be able to complete more tedious tasks that we struggle with... is to prepare?

Should "preparation" itself be a more central theme of education and learning?

Should we all focus more on preparing to accomplish our goals instead of other means?
