Todays philosophy

It is said philosophy has changed from it's conception to todays philosophy. Philosophy to me is the search for understanding in whatever that has to do with truth knowledge ethics and the like. I relate philosophy with one opinion concerning truth knowledge and ethics. There has always been good and bad in this world which is related to Adam and Eve. Then anyone can question, like what is truth, and the aurgument is presented in one word. Everyone seems to have a opinion on the question itself.

The original founders got their ideas from there present life and surroundings, so my question is, does todays philosophy relate or is different from it's original beginnings? Each philosopher had his or her own opinion as we do today thenI revert this sentece to the last one above this one. Thoughts? Paul

Generally speaking perhaps we could say the methodology is pretty much the same but the subject matter is more extensive.
