Government, of course, is essential to a properly-run society, carrying out its proper function of social integration. However, it is improper for the government to license anybody to do anything, to levy taxes on anything besides property (property being defined as anything with intrinsic market value), and not treating everybody equally. Furthermore, it is improper for the government to tell anybody what he can or cannot do, as long as he is not interfering with other people.
