This is simply outrageous! That's not death penalty, it's a massacre! How could seriously anyone believe that these 529 got a fair trial even? Not to mention the unlikelihood that all the 529 were engaged in killings, which leaves one to suppose that the rest are being killed for violent protesting which is nothing like an outright murder!!!

This has to be condemned! This is death penalty at its worst and most despicable... doesn't matter that I don't like the Muslim Brotherhood, this is just WRONG!

Well you are aware if you read the article that Egyptian courts seldom carry out death sentences, so this on appeal is just creating a morass of legal fees. It seems to me the judge was bribed to produce the verdict by the military, or his family were threatened but no judge in Egypt or otherwise would pronounce fiat across the board legal sentence, it's not anything like actual law in any country even Muslim fundamentalist ruled ones.

It is horse shit, protesting in a democratic country is every persons right of course doing so violently is not, but to be accused of murder for doing so (assuming you didn't actually murder anyone of course). Is frankly absurd. But then as you say Egypt has gone from democracy to fascist dictatorship. :(
