Can women troll?
I don't think they can.
Trolling seems to run contrary to all female instincts.

Re: Can women troll?
An instinct prompts me to call BS on this statement, but I'm resisting - that is, running contrary to instinct - until I see definitions of :Trolling seems to run contrary to all female instincts.
trolling
instinct
female instinct ( with regard to characteristic(s) that make(s) an instinct gender-specific)
and an explanation as to what particular [presumably male] instincts run toward trolling.
Re: Can women troll?
Interesting you say that I know one female troll who has APD, aka psychopathy who delights in trolling and even uses her mental diagnosis to excuse her behaviour, I am pretty sure she is not unique, in fact I am almost certain.
Not a very nice person to deal with, tends to think that the universe revolves around her, and all that matters is her own sense of well being. It's a psychosis with her though, a sort of need for attention and positive reinforcement whereby she revels in the plaudits of other trolls about her accomplishments, so I suppose whilst not excusable is at least understandable.
Women can be even more nasty than men, they just tend to use more non physical means.
I can give you examples at length, but suffice to say women can troll but it is less common than the behaviour is in men. Let's call a spade a spade, trolling is a form of bullying or mental abuse meant to demean or degrade the person in question to the point they have a very angry negative reaction to the abuse. Women and men both indulge in it.

Yeah... riiiight.
Never heard of a bitch before? Women are the ultimate creators of trolling. They trolled IRL long before men started populating the web.

By trolling, I didn't mean bullying, I meant being offensive just for the hell of it, that's what trolling means to me. Of course women are capable of being cunts, just as men are capable of being pricks.
Re: Can women troll?
It's a rose by any other name mate, trolling is mental bullying. It sets out to try and demean another by provocation to poke fun at others, make themselves feel big for your inadequacies, there is no difference.

To me, a troll is someone who's politically incorrect, purely for the sake of being politically incorrect. Someone who deviates from taboos, social norms, sacred cows, etcetera, purely for the sake of it. Maybe that's a slight deviation from the common definition. I suppose women, especially young girls, do this too, but it's much more prevalent among men. Someone who revels in irreverence.

Re: Can women troll?
This is not how it's used. Has nothing to do with "politically correct". Acting in spite of other people's objections or in spite of their needs and desires is relatively being a bitch. The Transvaluator wrote:To me, a troll is someone who's politically incorrect, purely for the sake of being politically incorrect.
This is wrong. Generally men and women may act differently, but there's no reason to presume the one is worse than the other, if the one lacks in one thing, you can surely make up for it with a different characteristic that's equally bad. Different interests leads to different targets, but not different morality. The Transvaluator wrote:Someone who deviates from taboos, social norms, sacred cows, etcetera, purely for the sake of it. Re: Can women troll?
That would suggest that women could never do anything immoral or illegal in the real world, which they can do just aswell as men, why there's women prisons around the world. The Transvaluator wrote:To me, a troll is someone who's politically incorrect, purely for the sake of being politically incorrect. It doesn't matter how you want to define troll I can assure you women are just as capable of the behaviour as men.To me, a troll is someone who's politically incorrect, purely for the sake of being politically incorrect. Women like being two faced and bitching about others behind their backs, does that mean men don't do that?

Re: Can women troll?
Interesting question. I've always assumded trolling is a peculiarly male pursuit, but is that just me making assumptions? How would anyone know the gender of trolls? Now that you ask, I think there are probably plenty of female trolls.
