Actually expanded upon and improved into a parliamentary and legal system, they didn't forget anything they just made it more democratic, which America then copied. But he's right. Bob you would do well to actually know something about the history of a country before you make silly comments about it, but then I tend to get the impression with most and certainly not all, that their country is superior to all others simply by reflected glory and the fact they were born in it, and besides who needs history when you can just write bs on wiki about how you won WWI and WWII single handed and also beat the Mechastalin in WWIII with the help of Chuck Norris and Arnold Schwarzenegger?

House of parliament, House of lords, America senate and house. It's the same. Also of course you use our legal system which was founded on the basic principles expoused in the magna carta. I know Americans generally don't do much European history if at all, but if you are going to mock a country it pays to know your facts.

Member of the big 8 in the UN security council, influential across the world because most people speak English as a second language or first, including you.

No offence and certainly none taken if you criticise England I am amongst it's harshest critics, but it does behoove you to at least have some knowledge about history if you are going to attack a country, if you did you'd probably find me right there I am not proud of our history either.
