Have you been following along, he said so himself. AND Don't tell me that you're fool enough to only see in Black and White. While Mother Teresa, did all those things to ensure her place in heaven, she did not do them at others expense. Of course there are many that do so! I'm surprised that I have to explain the finer (grey) details to a 'self proclaimed' Doc, sheesh!thedoc wrote:Whose philosophy is not self serving? Worry less about defending a twisted underdog, and more about truth, you'll fare much better! No human is a commodity, and I'll spit in anyone's face that says otherwise!

Re: The problem's in your head
I just realized something, you think those two words are synonymous, don't you. Better say no, because otherwise would prove you've had no college. I have two college textbooks to prove otherwise, "Elements of Argument" and "The Informed Argument" I believe it was freshman English, 101 and 102 respectively. You've got to be kidding me? "Thedoc???" More like 000! A poser? I think I still have my notes around here somewhere, where my professor stated that argument is respected, unlike fighting! Do I really have to quote from a college text book for you?thedoc wrote:SpheresOfBalance wrote: Do you want to argue over the specs of the APS115? Or how about something 'you're' very familiar with?

Or I could have misjudged you, please enlighten me!

HA!
At one point or another, every one is a commodity.
The trick is knowing when it's happening to 'you' and then gettin' yourself out of the circumstance that's got others viewing you as 'resource'.
Me: pretty good at recognizing when some schmuck is lookin' to use me (to further an agenda, to make a buck, to get his or her jollies, etc.)
You: livin' on the choppin' block and don't even know it.

Re: Equality
Where are you from Henry? Not that it matters all that much, but I do like your style.
I'd guess with the Yiddish terms the US but it's hard to tell these days who is what, most people are shlamiels.
You have Chutzpah at least. So I would guess New York, but I have been wrong before... And of course before I get overly Sherlock Holmeseque you did use the word buck...
With my moxie though I am usually at least close to the right neighbourhood.

Re:
There is a difference between "everyone being a commodity," and "everyone being seen as a commodity." And, "I pity the fool" (<-Mr T) that sees me as a commodity and then acts on it, as his spear is either going up his ass or down his throat! For instance, in my lifetime thus far, no one has "sold" me anything, ever. I know exactly what I want, and then go and get it! When I go shopping, and the sales rep confronts me with, "Can I help you," I either say "NO!" or, "I don't know, do you have a PhD in psychology?" I sometimes get worried looks, then laugh to solidify what ever it is they want to believe, usually sending them on their worried way! No one can tell me what I want or what I need, I just laugh and get what I want, usually based upon extensive research, that I do on my own!henry quirk wrote:"No human is a commodity, and I'll spit in anyone's face that says otherwise!"

Sometimes it's those seemingly on the chopping block that does the chopping, it's a matter or perspective, as I've said, who's leading who on, and other such infantile beliefs are examples. It's all a matter of perspective! One may believe they're being clever, even leaving clues, while another may ignore all that for their own brand of deception. Unpredictability is key! Word games on the net are not a problem. But what I'm extremely good at, is boring right through someones eyes, right out the back of their skull, looking right through them as if they're transparent. I pretty much have the human psyche down to a science. Most people of the sort you refer, are laughable, and I mean right in their face, mostly they're too self absorbed to understand!

Re: The problem's in your head
No point in wasting my time or your's, I really don't care. At college the English department thought everyone who majored in IA was a Neanderthal with a stone hammer. English comp. was an uphill struggle for all of us, as there was very little teaching, just a lot of red marks.SpheresOfBalance wrote: Or I could have misjudged you, please enlighten me!

Then I wonder why you engaged me in the first place.

Sorry you had such a tough time of it, but you're not alone.
But I guess there's no point in wasting either of our time, huh. Of course then I wonder why we're here in the first place?

And if that's your kind mode, I'd hate to see your unkind mode!
I think you're just a self promoter like all the rest, beating your chest when you believe it serves you well. The consummate, wanna be, macho man!
