A Mind is a Wonderful Thing to Meet
Re: A Mind is a Wonderful Thing to Meet
I am surprised Carlin Romano didn't include Steven Allen and his show Meeting of Minds in his book "American The Philosophical" (reviewed in the same issue of PN).
Allen was certainly a contributor to America's philosophical nature, in more ways than one. He was part of the television and entertaining business that significantly fashion America's philosophical bent. Television and the movies greatly assisted in America's moral development and it becoming a socially cohesive nation.
