I've got to bump this back up in the View active topics category in hopes that more members will see this video and actually respond.



The song is brilliant in itself, GREAT video. But it does something more.

The video brings-up, what I think, is an extremely insightful, perhaps deeply philosophical religious concept that I had never thought about or been exposed to.



Does anal sex actually preserve virginity? And I don't know...I think it does.

Fornication is a sin or at least it was but it has not always been taken to mean sex before marriage and can be taken as adultery and in fact looking briefly at wiki it was not forbidden except for a brief period of puritan rule and then after the marriage act of 1753 which of course many ignored anyway.

I think personally anal sex counts if sex outside of marriage is a sin, but religious people have never really followed Christianity; as they say in the video they ignore the inconvenient stuff. AFAIK the bible has nothing to say about back door action man on woman, which is not really a loophole, it has nothing to say on paedophilia either, so are Christians allowed to have sex with children?

Seriously though, the whole dogma surrounding sexuality is completely out of synch with reality, it's a dead end for the church since it is not catholic in the sense the Disciples or Jesus said it, no one is supposed to follow the laws laid down in Leviticus because they are for Jews alone. Paul was not an authority on church dogma but was given far too much credence none the less even though he never even met Christ or any living disciple, he merely gave moral values to people who would inhabit places such as Greece and Rome where practices such as sodomy were commonplace. I find it hard to believe then that the laws against fornication are really about people outside of Corinth and Rome, that Paul wrote to in his letters. I think there probably was an idea that homosexuality was wrong, but that does not mean doing some bird up the wrongun is countanenced by not actually making that anal sex is considered bad explicit. For example Sodom from which we get the term sodomy was destroyed for partaking in lewd sexual practices male on male or male on female.
