Camus comes across as a new world, American thinker. And at the time of Camus' zenith there was the movie American In Paris.

I sense a connection. For one, Camus was as agile a thinker as Gene Kelly was a dancer.

Camus was firmly a French thinker. If there was any connection it'd be the American thinkers being under the influence.
