cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny...
and cannibals don't eat hobos because they taste poor...
it isn't a matter of taste?

Hmm just been reading the article and I think he made a strawman out of it.
There are still a few places in the world where something akin to what Epicureanism describes is still possible. Granted we do have to adapt a bit to the laws of the land in most cases... if we want to stay legal. The off-grid and small house trends seem to me to have a definite epicurean vibe too them.
If you felt that the effort required to be legal was going too too far you could trek off into some very remote area an illegally build a cabin and just hope not to be discovered- living under a bridge is not really the only outcome.

If I were Vegetariantaxidermi, (which I am not) then I would say "Cannibals don't eat Americans because they taste like shit."Impenitent wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2013 11:36 pm cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny...

If I were Nick_A or Walker, I'd write "Cannibals don't eat eastern Europeans because they taste ungodly."
If I were -1-, would write, "atheists don't eat curried human rump because they fear that would make them see god."
Oops. I AM -1-.
