It is difficult to complain that a colleague talks too much in order to put your attention energy under strain.
That she explains things to you as if you were a retard and she a teacher from special schools. (the tone of the voice)

It´s the details which make the music.

The simplest solution would be not to notice.

I struggle with my perceptiveness, and my self-control, mainly.

Perhaps I expect too much from life. Perhaps what I cannot endure at work is normal in millions of families and relationships.

Not to notice or to interpret it as a special performance for you, to make your life a little bit more interesting.

"Funny, the tone of the voice you have. Makes me feel like a real retard." (only in thought, of course)

I could be a ... metteur en scène.

Coming to see a rehearsal for stage or for a scene in a film.

Or Kaspar Hauser, coming from a hole and amazed by any display of complicated human emotions.

Fight or Flight. 2unning away is a good option. It's when the situation isn't 1 versus 1 that it gets tough, because then you have to hope that your friends can run as fast as you can or the other way around.
