Anybody finds it interesting? Any way this can describe any endeavours you've ever undertaken (in philosophy)?Philosophical Engineering is like cooking a soup. You decide what kind of soup you want, and throw in all the fitting ingredients, stir the pot, and apply the right heating. Too much heat destroys the flavour, too little will never complete it. You taste it periodically for perfection, and when it's done, you serve it in a text, in a movie or in a piece of music.

On the Right Way of Cooking a Work of Philosophy
Once again, I was just sitting on my couch when this text to describe the engineering of philosophy flew into my head:

Philosophy is about coming to terms with the truth, and is not something concocted or contrived.

Well sometimes things don't exist for us to come to terms with, so we have to make it first, and we make it out of the depths of our minds, where we will find the strangeness that bothers us and makes us feel uneasy about the world and how it is portrayed.SpheresOfBalance wrote:Philosophy is about coming to terms with the truth, and is not something concocted or contrived.
