We have the sexual function.

What is called our instinctive functions. Blood flow, hair growth, all organ functions. Instinctive reactions.


Our moving function; any movement that needs to be learned.

Our emotional function.


Our intellectual function.


There is also a higher emotional and a higher intellectual function however, we never experience those working functions.


That's it.




As humans we earn a living through;

the business or practice of providing sexual services to another person in return for payment


the business or practice of providing instinctive services to another person in return for payment


the business or practice of providing moving services to another person in return for payment


the business or practice of providing emotional services to another person in return for payment


the business or practice of providing intellectual services to another person in return for payment


Obviously ALL of our functions & services are related and work together as we earn our livings.


But in a general sense we can categorize our main thrust of our functions and how those tools work together in making a living here on earth.


We are the Johns. We are Whores. In every sense of the word. In each of our days.


That's where we are at. That's who we are.


Why? Why is the sexual function or the ability to earn money for services provided by our sexual or instinctive functions looked down upon? Many times illegal.



A small group of individuals just committed the biggest crime, the biggest theft in the history of mankind, causing a world-wide economic crash. Not one of the initial perpetrators have been arrested. And they never will be.


Why are we so keen; so down on the instinctive and sex workers?




Why the stigma when we even suggest the concept or image of sex or an instinctive, natural pleasure? [/size]

You are absolutely right. I did combine many social issues within the scope of this thread.


I admittedly painted with a wide brush.


Wish I was better able to clarify within the original post, the very specific point of philosophical contention.



We are ALL prostitutes of our labor. No matter how you work.


We are all Johns; recipients of services from each other.





Why are we so frightened or repulsed by sex or instinctively centered forms of functions?


Functions that provide legitimate services.



Just as all of our other professions do.

I don't have a problem with sexuality, or sexual practices of whatever kind, between consenting adults.
I don't have a problem with people trading services, including sexual ones - if they are doing it voluntarily, and without endangering their lives and health.

I do have a problem with people being kidnapped, smuggled across borders, held in bondage, beaten, degraded and coerced; with teenagers addicted to drugs and exploited; with the physical and mental abuse of children; with the economic victimization of women so that they have no choice.
I have a problem with any employer who fails to provide protection or health care or minimum wage. I have a problem with unregulated industries, workers in hazardous conditions with no representation, legal rights or recourse. And I have a problem with any society that so neglects its citizens, so favours its parasitic class, that all employment becomes whoredom.

Be as light-hearted as you like - it's all hunky-dory out there.

That being said...Picture a construction worker while on the job. He is getting paid for his time, while at the same time he is using tools that was purchased by him.


We are all intertwined AT THE SAME TIME. It is such an easy concept that I originally did not want to offend both of you by explaining this.


In a more philosophical metaphor...We are all positive, negative, and neutral ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Depending upon the framework and vantage point of our observations.
