In America, the employment laws that have been written outside the scope of worker safety legitimize owner/corporation moral belief. The tax laws are not the only reason that the gap between the wealthy and the poor is so immense. If it were only so simple.

The philosophy of profit was put before people.

That is not true.


The philosophy of profit has allowed people to be people at their best. Profit has given people the incentive to be innovative, disciplined, self reliant and responsible. If one can make a profit in business one can reinvest it and create jobs for others. With a profit one can give back and invest in the community. A profit affords people the means to maintain their property so they don't fall apart and become a hazard or eyesore. Without profit we would not have the arts or theatre.

Sure, some people's idea of profit goes overboard and to extremes, when people become obsessed and think of noting else. But what human endeavor doesn't have its downside? However, even that profit can enhance a community. For instance Rockefeller and others like him gave a lot of their profits to build schools, libraries, museums and hospitals. Look at Bill Gates and how much he has given to fight AIDS in Africa.

People just don't do good things out of the kindness of their heart. People like recognition for doing good and preforming well. Profit is often that recognition.

Some people should study things a little deeper before they go of half cocked. They should understand the two side of an issue. They should make a list of pros and cons. Do it with a friend if you have trouble. The list should help one realize that the profit motive does mostly good for society. On the way, don't forget to examine Communism and what its absence of the profit motive created. It created a society of indifference, inefficiency, corruption and shortages.

And the philosophy of conservatism isn't that bad either. Conservatism is the handmaiden of liberalism. Conservatism can be like a library. It retains and ensconces all the good things that liberalism has discovered for us, like democracy and human rights.

There is no worst philosophy. Just worst thinkers.

i think it would helpful and smart to use the current resourses of the union and turn it around into something else that better serves its current purpose, and in more ways than one. i could be wrong, but i find that this would probably be a good idea. i know this may sound like a 'cliche' but 'being the alternative'. a small example being the union creating the type of workplaces its members would like to be apart of. thereby eliminating alot of problems and wasted resource. and if it is successful, you might suspect anyways that non-union members would also head in the same direction on their own. if they want.

the union doesn't necessary even have to be about the 'workplace' only does it? i don't think so. it could also focus on eliminating other problems that go hand in hand with the rest of the drama. i'll try to expand on that later.

also, who's to say other large and long standing organizations and groups, with in general similar sentiments couldn't band together with the union? and even do it in a way where those who are against the union, would probably be a part of it too? i'll expand on that later as well.

~~~ What's so good about owning a home paying taxes & upkeep now that supersede any type of real estate investment any average American may have. Actually 25% of all homes in America are under water.


~~~ Retirement investments are rather insignificant. Actually many programs are in distress or critical status.


~~~ You can't find a decent job with benefits.


~~~ Precious metals are down 25% from earlier this year.


~~~ Our community governments are in emergency mode. They have NO money. Municipality, City, County, State, & Federal programs and services are being cut back or eliminated.


~~~ There is no end in sight & we're going the wrong way. Into the red, red noght.

It's not that Obama doesn't care, it's just that he's out of his depth and surrounds himself with other people who are out of their depth. Let me give you a couple of extreme shortcomings of Obamacare. First of all, it's fine that he wants everybody to have health insurance. But he should treat it like Medicare instead of making employers pay for it, or forcing people to pay a penalty if they don't buy it. Secondly, the government controls the number of doctors and hospitals available to the public, and unfortunately does not let the free market make this determination. Under Obamacare, there will be a far greater demand for healthcare services, but not a corresponding increase in supply. Prices will skyrocket and healthcare services will become severely downgraded or even denied. Mark my words, Obamacare is destined to precipitate an American medical crisis.
