The percentage of union membership in America is steadily going down. As well as our accumulative standard of living.


As logic would dictate, the list of the happiest and best countries to live in, a list that just came out a few days ago, have maintained the high union membership percentages or have actually increased union membership.

Most union membership comes from government workers like teachers, and we know what a great job those teachers are doing, those incompetent, overpaid teachers who can't teach kids to read and write, and who can't be fired because they belong to a union.

I'm not sure you can overpay a teacher.



I support unionized teachers. In order to concentrate upon actually teaching fellow human beings on needs every opportunity to focus upon that.

I want a teacher that looks like what we would call successful. Being a union member is a GREAT example of what it means to be successful for our young, impressionable fellow human beings.

No, we manufacture more than ever, but we do it with fewer people who aren't featherbedding union members.

There is nothing inherent about labour unions: they're a construct of industrial society, which is itself a weird sort of fabrication.
Labour unions are simply a necessary defense of the productive against exploitation by the privileged.
Labour unions, while as corruptible as any other human organization (well, maybe not quite as corruptible as churches and senates, but almost) have been effective in raising the standard of living and protecting the safety of workers.
The privileged do not like a fair fight.
In the last 30 years, conservative governments, under instructions from their campaign financeers, have passed a great many unconstitutional laws to break up the unions. They have been largely successful. Wages go down, hours go up, standard of living declines, purchasing power plummets, goods go unbought, failing industries are bailed out with public funds, the unemployed are not.

Move on. Jobs were a bad idea anyway.

Better yet - Do you have a DIRECT experience where you could supply us with the specific location, date, and individual teacher's name where we could fact-check?
