Who pays(?)
Three ways I can handle that, Bob.
I can pay for "the investigation, arrest, trial, conviction and imprisonment of the perpetrator".
No different than hiring an exterminator to track down the rats, assess the size of the infestation, and deal with the vermin accordingly.
...or...
I can forget the whole thing.
That "relative" may have been a jackass who I'm glad to see gone.
...or...
I may load up my coach gun and go a'huntin'.

You already live here, Bob.
The three options I list: all of 'em happen every day.
-Employing a hitman.
-Doing nuthin'.
-Killing the rat yourself.
Makes the world go 'round.
*shrug*

Let me rephrase that, I don't believe I'll visit your psychotic world.henry quirk wrote:You already live here, Bob.

One last thing before I head out for the weekend...
In previous, similar conversation and debates, there always some person who says sumthin' like this...
'Oh, I see...you don't pay taxes...so why do you keep usin' the roads and other public services, you parasite?!'
Look at it from my perspective: I was thrust (born) into a peculiar prison (the U. S. of A.) I had no hand in constructing and told from the start I have a voice in how the prison operates (by way a vote). Experience, however, shows me my voice means next to nuthin (as it is drowned out by tens of thousands [or millions] of idiots, and those idiots are largely directed by folks who lie easily and would use me as mere resource).
Seems to me...
I can play the game, working nicely within a system I had no hand in crafting, and -- as long as I bow to the wardens, show proper respect for the conventions, be a 'good prisoner' (asking only 'how high? when told to 'jump') -- can live a comfortable 'middle class' life (as 'trusty' or well-oiled 'cog').
...or...
I can work very hard, trading portions of soul and mind for power and place till -- one day -- I'm one of the wardens callin' the shots...the bad thing: the wardens have wardens who have wardens (a meandering and circular chain that eventually wraps one up and sinks him or her down to the bottom of the sea).
...or...
I can work very hard and become 'important' to the wardens...all well and good till I piss someone off and the stool gets knocked out from under me (then used to beat me about the head).
...or...
I can throw in with some group and try to overthrow the wardens and system...thing is: such groups (no matter what the stated intention) simply wanna replace the warden with themselves, replace one system with another...again -- if I play nice and do as I'm told -- I can be 'taken care of'.
...or...
I can simply do as I choose, quietly ignoring what I can, quietly navigating what I must, and singing the sweet song 'Non Serviam' under my breath the whole time.
As you like, Bob.

Re: Why the Only Proper Tax is a Single Tax on Property
There are always going to be government and taxes, my friend, but I believe the principles of the American Energy Party (AEP) will come closer than any other political organization in addressing your concerns.

Maybe so...let me know when you’re actually are in a position to implement any of those principles and, then, we can talk...

Re:
Well, like I said earlier, I need to have a university study done, with inputs from the economics, political science, sociology and pyschology departments to determine the ideal State, county and town, in that order, to establish the headquarters of the American Energy Party (AEP).henry quirk wrote:"There are always going to be government and taxes..."
