Anxiety of Dying
Anxiety of Dying
No one of us has experienced dying !! and no one died and come again to tell us what was his feeling before he died !!! However, that dead person, for sure he got a special feeling, or some strange thoughts crossed his mind !! ( before he died ), for instance, let say he thought about going to school naked !! or writing with a cigarette instead of a pen !! we do not know ( no one can tell us his story !! he is the only one who can do that !! but he died already) !! so the question is : Do there exist common thoughts that cross all persons before they die ???? For me I've got an anxious feeling !! in particular, when I ask myself ' Ah the thing that I'm thinking about now or my feeling right now might be the same as dead people thought about or felt before !!!!
Re: Anxiety of Dying
I've never died before, nor known anyone who has lived to tell the tale, but I would imagine there would be some common things, fear of nothingness/the unknown, sadness, contentedness, feelings of awe, maybe calmness in some cases. I'm sure it varies depending on a persons life they lived, their state of mind, their beliefs, etc.

Re: Anxiety of Dying
I don't fear death, I fear dieing, especially in pain. My anxiety comes from the fact that for once I'll not be able to do anything about it. So as I'm dieing I'll probably be thinking, "I wish this dieing crap would hurry up, and be over." Which may be a common theme.saber125 wrote:No one of us has experienced dying !! and no one died and come again to tell us what was his feeling before he died !!! You never know; has anyone heard from saber 125 lately? Too bad about the liver. My dad was diagnosed with cancer in his 70's, genes being what they are, I suppose the same may happen to me, if I don't cop it beforehand. My dad was a bit stoic too, the doctors told him only one person in a hundred survives his condition for more than a year; he swore the cancer wouldn't kill him; good to his word he had a heart attack in his sleep.Hjarloprillar wrote:what crap.

I'm telling you for your own good, give up meat, and only ever eat raw whole organic produce, and you'll kick it's ass. Oh and whole grains too. It doesn't have you, you have it, and may god have mercy on it's soul.Hjarloprillar wrote:I was told only a few weeks back that my liver was way worse than previous analysis.

Will you stop with the sarcasm, I have! Actually I've been serious from the get. as to cancer, I'm really on your side, truthfully! Despite our petty bickering. If you're saying that you know of, and are using the diet I suggest, then GOOD! I mean it!Hjarloprillar wrote:"I'm telling you for your own good"

Re: Anxiety of Dying
No Prill, the REAL question is, "which is the act and which is the real me?" In the end we can only believe what we choose to believe. If I hurt you then maybe I have that coming, but I think you know the real truth, as far as my empathy is concerned. But you can choose to treat me however you will. You have to watch me though, I do sometimes take cheap shots, here and there, when I feel my opponent is being unfair in their assessment of my words.Hjarloprillar wrote:So no more quote you.SpheresOfBalance wrote:Will you stop with the sarcasm, I have! "which is the act and which is the real me?" [you have more 'I's than a hydra]
So far the options are the shithead, the plutocrat and the worm eaten corpse.
its hard to pick.
All 3?

So do you feel better now? Or do you want to abuse me some more? Go ahead, but I usually try and use punching bags, I think it's a wiser choice, for many reasons.
Maybe I'm hydra like, because I can understand many perspectives, which is consistent with one whose favorite philosophical quote is 'I only know that I know nothing.' Not only was he the father, but the wisest, IMHO.
My signature, if they still allowed them, damn those spammers, they ruin it for everyone, is: "If we only knew what we thought we knew."
