Is it better to be a coward or die a hero?

Should you think about your duty, or about the consequences of your actions? Or should you concentrate on becoming a good person?

Based upon your recent posts & threads here, including this original post upon this thread, how do you perceive your use of the symbolic right side of your brain? Do you:

  • A) use too many images, GIFs, videos, and options on the tool bar to enhance my messages

    B) use just enough images, GIFs, videos, and options on the tool bar enhance my messages

    C) need to use more images, GIFs, videos, and options on the tool bar enhance my messages

Which one would you choose?

First. Man to man.

As the questions could be purely hypothetical for most of us, then guessing would be called upon and it is perfectly natural to cleave to the side of hero.

Tell me of your experience and how your brain reacted.

Not a picture of a train, a real experience.

As an aside. I am left brain dominant.

William .

the pic.. i thought 1st.. what a descriptive thing.. like apes clinging to a tree as it goes under.
why exist in this state of people swimming in others.
planet of the flies.
but remember im aspie.. I see without much if any emotion.

I saw a magotty dead roo. I have come across many in trails , the outback.

flies rule the outback.. beware or not.
Thay serve a purpose. Small and stupid biologic machines.. they proliferate.

My kid hates them. So i modified a poem by blake to suite her
"A fly and Sasha in a cage. Invokes apoplectic rage"

she knows it by heart

prill

i just realised yu posted to another peep.. and all i have said is off into air.
And people ask why i address posts. duh

I appreciate your response to this post
but I was unable to determine, by your initial response, which one of the three options below you would chose to be descriptive of your general posts and mindset here at the Philosophy Now Forums.

Could you take a look at this again?

He is talking to me.

I have answered his question with a question of my own, which he chooses not to answer because it will interfer with his carefully planned line of action.

Will the "real Bill" come on down.

To answer you, I work, almost constantly, throughout the day to move to the symbolic, right-side brain thinking.

As I conceive the body of my posts here, that trend to reach to the right is evident throughout most of my posts and even the way I am evolving the style of my posts.

I actually feel naked now...

That was a LOT of honesty for me.

Please be gentle...

Having the state of mind of knowing this and consciously choosing to risk dying, wouldn't it better to just think, you could do nothing to save the child, or it was 'fate" and beyond your control.

No pictures please.
I think such hypotheticals are unanswerable until the situation arises. At best it just explores what one thinks are ones ethics and morals and in this instance my cultural ones tell me to make the attempt.

Having said that I think the first proposition hinges on the "could", as its this that'd be a defining factor I think. Hence you get to the second proposition where you know that the could is a "will", i.e. if you jump down there you will die as the train is to close and going to fast to stop. Even then I still might try it but it'd be without thought then.

I'd choose to examine this ridiculous metaphor of 'right' and 'left' 'brains and how it mis-describes what it is to be a mind and what the CNS is. I'd examine why I think I need such a metaphor and what it is does for me and then look for a better way to improve my thoughts and thinking.

I'd really take a close look at the largely nonsense categories of mind that are being assigned to these 'two brains' and I'd definitely examine the contradiction that language appears to be placed in one 'brain' and 'creativity'(an example of one of those fairly nonsense terms) in the other when language can be used creatively?

So if I had to choose, I'd choose to express myself with the best tool we've got for communicating our thoughts and thats words, enhanced with specifically chosen images where appropriate.

Shame you don't appear to understand it.

You did ask me as you didn't specify who your reply was to.
