Ignoring the dualism, 'it' appears to be linked by Body.Mind and brain are of course linked but in general are not considered identical in any commonly regarded discipline or profession, though can often times be considered identical within such for practical purposes.
Not sure what you're saying here?There is a strong demarcation which could be characterised in a similar way to an above reply, viz. mind is more a thing of process rather than a physical thing.
Agreed, its the having of a body with senses that perceive in an external world.Yes, self consciousness is more synonymous with mental activity than, say, self awareness is but this in no way provides evidence that consciousness has its origin in mental activity. Again... Consciousness is not cognition.
