the problem of language is the problem of printing economics
Most philosophers ideas and be summarised very easily but they never are as economics means they have to publish books or magazine articles/essays.
This produces confusion, thus reducing the possibility of philosophical ideas to catch the imagination of the public, so the ideas may just as well never have existed.
Language has limitations but so do contraints of custom.

That's because philosophy is unmitigated bullshit for dreamers, but economics is harsh reality.JasonPalmer wrote:Most philosophers ideas and be summarised very easily but they never are as economics means they have to publish books or magazine articles/essays.

What better way than selling something to get it to the public?

This may have been true when, supposedly, some philosophers were paid by the word but if you think these ideas can so easily be understood and precised for this 'public' to catch then surely you have an economic opportunity?JasonPalmer wrote:Most philosophers ideas and be summarised very easily but they never are as economics means they have to publish books or magazine articles/essays.

I assume you're trying to make a point of some kind, but what it might be escapes me.Arising_uk wrote:bobevenson wrote:That's because philosophy is unmitigated bullshit for dreamers, but economics is harsh reality. And this says what about your lack of economic success in flogging your idea?

I guess that means you should do whatever is necessary to properly communicate with others.Arising_uk wrote:Nothing new there then.bobevenson wrote:I assume you're trying to make a point of some kind, but what it might be escapes me.
