Offering a blunt assessment of the extent to which private companies influence decision-making in the US, he told the BBC's Andrew Marr Show: "American politics has fallen into a state of disrepair," in an interview to mark the publication of his new book, The Future.
Gore added: "It can be fixed, but we need to recognise that our democracy has been hacked … It has been taken over … and is being operated for purposes other than those for which it was intended."

Gore talks dumber now than when he was V.P. Alzheimer's?
Unfortunately, Gore doesn't know that the U.S. Supreme Court said money is freedom of speech, and cannot be politically repressed. However, although lobbying legislators is a proper use of corporate money, corporate contributions to candidates are improper expenditures that should be considered as criminal theft against shareholders.
He's right, Gore that is. Democracy has been superseded by corporate power. You don't have it no more. But everyone already knows this, that's what OCCUPY was about, partly, that's why he can say it now. But it is true! You don't live in a democracy, while you were defending yourself against the government, the real enemy, corporate power, just strode in and re-arranged society to suit its interests. Democracy or democratic culture has been hijacked. Wake up.
I agree, with Bill and Pluto, that is! Money should not steer our ship, that's in fact where the human species went wrong in the first place, the glittering prize! Science and education and thus knowledge should steer our course or we're all doomed.

Money, my friend, does not steer any damned ship. If you want to spend money to communicate, that, as the U.S. Supreme Court has affirmed, is freedom of speech, regardless of what any left-wing socialist in this world wants to believe.

It would seem, we could fill an encyclopaedia set with the concepts you don't understand, Bob!
Do you even know what a lobby is, no I don't mean the large foyer of a Hotel.

Listen, pal, you don't know shit from Shinola, never did, never will. You think you know more than the U.S. Supreme Court about the U.S. Constitution? Take a cold shower, asshole!

I said that, "It would seem." So am I to take it that you believe it's true?
Bob I could give a Funk about the supreme court, the constitution or any other governmental agency/document. The way I see it, all I need to know, are people, the human animal. Once I know all about their minds, their psyche, their reasoning, their motives, who cares about the rest, I'll know everything I need to know of their institutions.

You'll never know a thing about institutions until you understand "The Ouzo Prophecy," my friend.

Ouzo, Smouzo! I could care less about your 'silly' numbers game, why don't you understand that there's nothing to it. Some mans game matters not, how man carelessly manages his environment, matters greatly. Prophecies are just varying degrees of trend analysis, topped with a guess. The odds of an exact date being reliable are astronomical. You should care less about mysticism, and more about factual reality, as uncovered by science.
I shall always defend your right to speak freely, but be aware that it may cause you to look like a fool, in some peoples eyes, not that you should necessarily care about such things, just be advised, that you may be reducing your audience.
Edit 1: Misspelling.

First of all, a prophet like Bob the Baptist needs no audience. I know with complete certainty that everybody is stupid except me. I'm the only person on Earth who's not stupid, and I can prove it. Secondly, the game of Ouzo is merely an allegory to help people understand the meaning of Revelation 13:18, which is explained in "The Ouzo Prophecy".
