I'm the Only Person on Earth Who Understands Proper Taxation
The only proper tax is a single uniform tax on property, property being defined as anything with intrinsic market value. Any other taxes are improper, and that includes income taxes, sales taxes, business taxes and all the other taxes that people face. Since the only proper function of government is social integration (like a traffic cop keeping people from running over each other) and the protection of life and property, a tax on the property being protected is the ultimate and only proper source of revenue for this function. All property should be taxed with no exemptions, and it is theoretically the only fair tax possible, with the lowest tax rate.

I think all our money should be taxed one hundred per cent, that way we would have lots of fat politicians and the rest of us would have to either grow our own food or starve.bobevenson wrote:I am about ready to vomit if I hear another stupid comment on taxation by any and every American politician Anything that comes out their mouth is pure, unadulterated balderdash.
Of course, I'm sure the same can be said for every politician and/or economist in the world. The only proper form of taxation is a single tax on property, property being defined as anything with intrinsic market value. Any other form of taxation is improper, and that includes income taxes, sales taxes and all the other myriad taxes that people face. The only proper function of government is social integration, like a traffic cop keeping people from trampling each other, and the protection of life and property. The only viable basis for paying for this protection are taxes on the property being protected. Since everything is being taxed, it is by definition the fairest tax, and at the lowest rate possible.

There is absolutely no limit to the number of times I may edit something. Every point must be perfect, every word must be perfect, every punctuation mark must be perfect, every sentence must be perfect, and every paragraph must be perfect. Evensonomics demands no less, my friend.vegetariantaxidermy wrote:Edited 11 times?bobevenson wrote:I am about ready to vomit if I hear another stupid comment on taxation by any and every American politician.
