Truth is the Absolute which is unattainable for the most common of us.

Brilliant! Kudos to you, atheist! Without any 'god' there wouldn't be any atheists or agnostics for you/they rely upon a concept of god so meaningless as to to uphold your/their weak arguments for the existence of a 'no-god', the pure opposition of 'a god'... your own being a prime example... if one is unable to "prove the existence of god" one should be able "prove the existence of no-god".chaz wyman wrote:I would agree that your statement is the statement of an ass.

Truth is the culmination of all that is, was and shall be which is the Absolute of all there can possibly be.

No its true there would be no atheists if the idea of god did not persist in the minds of idiots.mtmynd1 wrote:Brilliant! Kudos to you, atheist! There is no existence of a non-god, so i have nothing to prove.
What do you mean "god"?

And do you think that unto such as you
A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew
God gave a secret, and denied it me?
Well, well—what matters it?
Believe that, too!

It cannot be so, if one considers relative truths. Can it?Truth is the culmination of all that is, was and shall be which is the Absolute of all there can possibly be.

Then relative truth only applies to the situation, absolute truth would apply to all situations.
As to the original question, I apologize for not reading the thread, but I would say it is because most people do not see what is in front of them, only what they expect to see. Till you can preceive reality as it is, you will never preceive the truth of any kind.
Re: What's stopping us from seeing the truth?
The best our language can provide is using 'truth' with a small 't' and Truth using the capital 'T'. When using the 'small 't' we generally use it to identify more so the facts as we see/know them.reasonvemotion wrote:

The 'capital T' Truth is the area of metaphysics that Aristotle (and many others) spoke of. When we enter metaphysics we should not drag along our emotional and intellectual baggage that we have all been indoctrinated by not because these things are not worthy and useful in our mundane existence. Metaphysics must rely upon a degree of honesty within the seeker of Truth that does not allow for anything other than Truth to prevail over opinions and even certain worldly facts that are based upon our own 5 senses... our hu'man-ness that is driven by ego.
The initial path of this Metaphysical Journey uses the obvious tools given us by our nature, the questions of who, what, why, where and when until each one of those questions have been answered in full, leaving no doubt or any other question hanging like a bad fruit on a tree. Once all the questions have been answered, thus ends the quest and contentedness begins.

Which Truth is The True?
"Truth is so abstract that philosopher Nietzsche said “truth is a lie” (Magee) that the essence of the meaning of truth is a big lie; he said that we give the meaning of truth to something. Otherwise, Kant said that truth exists, that it is there and we just need to find it. However, each mind is a different world. So, the truth is relative to each person."

Truth that is not absolute is no truth at all.reasonvemotion wrote:Which Truth is The True?

Atheism is for the unimaginative desperately preaching for others to embrace their otherwise weak arguments for a failed individualism.chaz wyman wrote: ... and based on so little
