In the US, racists are a dying breed. There are a handful of holdouts, mainly people who are going into shock as white people are no longer going to be the majority, Hispanics are. Although, I have lived with Hispanics my whole life and half the time I can't tell them apart from some whitey person. Most Americans hate racism, oppose it every chance they get, and the younger generation is even less racist, so the trend doesn't look good for people like Bobbie here. The facts are, dumbass, the so-called "racial" classifications show an increase in "inter-racial marriages." And for your bigotted comment regarding Jews, more than half the Jews in the US marry non-Jews. One of the guys I work with, he is of German ancestry, and his wife is Korean, having immigrated from South Korea. His best friend in law school, looks pretty white to me, also married a Korean. The receptionist, she is working on her citizenship from Mexico, and she is married to a white guy. Another attorney in the office, he is white, from the south, still has his "racist" southern accent, and his wife is hispanic. They had a daughter 2 years ago, and his wife is pregnant again. What I see all around me are mixed racial relationships all over the place in America. Just watch a Sunday football game, and I mean real, manly football, not that wussy soccer crap you Europeans play, and you will see a mixed lot for both teams, as well as the cheerleader squads, and the people in the stands.

not that i know of....private golf clubs or any other "private" club, can discriminate on the basis of race, creed and color if they so choose.this is guaranteed by the constitution. the important distinction here is being "private"..public (a "place of public accomodation") and (more importantly) engage in interstate commerce, are covered by Federal Civil Rights laws.I think in order to be a truly "private club" it has to be so attenuated from interstate commerce that even a good lawyer or prosecutor can't make the case

It's the right of every American private club to select on any grounds they see fit.
The colour bar is unofficially applied in private employment contexts, but there is law on larger companies to make some effort to hire minorities (I believe). In government jobs a law exists to represent all groups. That is why, when you visit the employment, DVA, passport offices the front-line is always black - and of course the Armed forces are over-represented by racial minorities- particularly at the lowest levels.
There is a definite effort in the law to help life minority groups, necessitated by the fact that equality (color blindness) has not been taken up by the rest of the community.
I think you will find this is true is most Western Countries.
