Please feel free to take part in discussion. Best way of learning is to challenge, and we quite probably wouldn't be able to offer enough of a philosophic scene to keep you staying if you don't participate. But your choice

There are of course many interesting discussions going on here depending on your knowledge. History of philosophy often gives most pre-requisites, though often, especially in the Applied Ethics section, more modern questions pops up, also in Political Philosophy, although there's a lot of crap there mostly, as it's the kind-of forum that attracts all sorts of weird people, but if you like that then that's your thing ^^ Some forums are less often used, like Philosophical Counselling, Philosophy of Mathematics and Logic, and Philosophy of Language (due to their technicality I guess). But sometimes you can see sudden interests in those forums, and some topics there might be interesting to check out which aren't actively discussed (but discussed in the past still lying there).
The Lounge is the place for everything non-philosophical. The most popular forums are General Philosophical Discussions, Applied Ethics, (right now 'cause of a guy called Prof, Ethical Theory forum is somewhat active), Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Science (though science often lacks replies as you need some level of understanding to answer the given questions or topics) and very popular is of course Philosophy of Religion (I personally don't attend that forum a lot as religion is not my thing but it's quite active). Political Philosophy is quite possibly the most active, but as mentioned, lots of weirdoes
