And you've got to admit that the shroud of Turin is pretty dam convincing even with science against it. No one has come near to replicating it or anything like it.

LMFAO! You serious? It is a forgery. It is a photograph, probably made by Leonardo da Vinci. He actually insulted the Jesus story in forging the shroud. The head is cut off. I find it hilarious the best evidence jesus supporters have is a picture that a homosexual heretic forged.

No scholar worth his salt discounts legend as being of historical interest and perhaps validity, much as we give a more or less believing ear to anecdotes that somehow ring true to us.

On the shores of the Mediterranean Sea outside Marseilles at Les Saintes Marie de la Mere there is a small chapel dedicated to Mary Magdalene and consecrated by Archbishop Roncalli (who later became Pope John XXIII). Given a place of prominence within this chapel are paintings of her arrival from Palestine in a small rudderless boat.

According to legend, soon after the crucifixion and Resurrection, Mary Magdalene and her family were expelled from the Holy Land, set adrift on the Mediterranean Sea and made their way to this region, particularly the area around Southern France and Northern Spain. At this time in history, aside from the already established Celts, many Greeks, Arabs, Jews and others lived and travelled in this area. There was even a Jewish city known as Glanum Levi whose ruins can be found today in Provence.
The cult of isis crap, is that what you are going on and on about? strange how jesus was so important that no one thought to write anything about him until after he was long dead. you don't get it, do you? If the person writing a Jesus story never saw what he described, and has no prior eyewitness document to refer to, then the person must, as a matter of logic, be making up a story. It is the kiss of death for christians claiming Jesus was an actual human being. The authors who made such claim had no legit basis for doing so. It's over for you guys. Pack it up and worship something else.

"The Jews are God's chosen people, i.e., God chose Israel as the means by which to bless the world with the Word of God, the Savior, the Apostles, salvation, and Christianity itself.

However, the Bible plainly states that God is NO respecter of persons (Acts 10:34) and that there is NO difference between the Jew and the Gentile (Romans 10:12). Christians are not obligated, nor expected to befriend the heathen nation of Israel today. Luke 21:24 plainly states... "And they [Jews] shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. This means, Biblically, that the Jews have NO GUARANTEE of possessing their homeland until the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

The modern nation of Israel was established by theft, tyranny and injustice...

"'The lawgiver Moses commanded the Hebrews that they should not oppress the strangers or non-Jews in their lands, Exodus 12:49, 22:21, 23:9, Leviticus 19:33-34, 25:35, Deuteronomy 10:18-19, 23:7, 24:17, 27:19.'"

God didn't bless Israel when they sinned in the Old Testament, and God won't bless Israel today until they repent of their unbelief and turn once again to the Lord. This will happen at the end of the Tribulation."

First I heard that Leonardo lived in the 13 century or earlier. There is no artist that can replicate that image, let alone a medieval one, even had they the aid of negative photography. The only approach for a forger to create such an image is to use a real body. No one has any idea how the hell to do it, all modern attempts have failed. http://articles.nydailynews.com/2011-12 ... ion-wounds

No thought of Isis.

I went to lengths already to say that Jesus wasn't so important.

I'm always amused by how anti-semitic you Christers can be. The joke is on you though: Your god does not exist, your religion is false and immoral. And modern-day Israel was not established by theft, etc., but let's say it were. So? Name a nation that didn't? The USA certainly came into being by an act of theft, blood shed, and tyranny. Try telling American Indians and Mexicans that they were given a fair shake. So, are you just being an anti-semite, applying double standards to Israel, or are you out there condemning every nation that came into existence through violence? I'm sure it's the former.

The shroud has been scientifically proven to be a fraud. The material it is made out of dates to the wrong time period. Furthermore, it looks like a photograph because that's what it is. Scientists used technology that existed at the time the shroud was dated to and reproduced the damn thing. Leonardo would have easily been able to create such a photo. To argue that no one knows how to make something like the shroud is simply factually false.

Strange too how the shroud could have existed and no one ever mentioned it.

Jesus never existed, so his important was zero. The christer myth has nothing original in it. Not a single so-called miracle attributed to the made-up jesus was original.

That would be a good reference for you to take to heart. You are seriously deluded if you think a book that mentions pregnant virgins is a great source of knowledge. Let me clue you in: virgins do not get pregnant. If you want to believe a god raped a woman to provide the world with a bastard demi-god, then don't be surprised if sane, intelligent people laugh at you.

The radio carbon dating doesn't prove its a forgery - just another facet in an ongoing riddle. Forget Leonardo, he didn't live in the 13 century. Being a man of evidence you will no doubt supply evidence and examples of medieval photography. http://www.shroud.com/pdfs/orvieto.pdf

let me clue you in........
Let me clue you in.

1 Timothy 3:1-5, 13-16
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

RC dating does in fact prove that the shroud was a medieval creation.
Get over it. Your links show that is the case.
What kind of a person is it that can read one thing and believe another, whilst quoting the thing that contradicts him?
