A Hasty Report From A Tearing Hurry
Re: A Hasty Report From A Tearing Hurry
I enjoyed the piece, but it's not true that we humans have a monopoly on time measurement. Almost every living thing on earth has a "circadian clock" - biochemical machinery which synchronizes certain processes with the day/night cycle. Daisies famously open and close their petals in this way (http://www.plantsci.cam.ac.uk/research/ ... daisy.html) but everything's at it, one way or another.
