Arising is not even pimple on the backside of these people. ...

So you're a "Its not what you know but who you know kinda guy". Figures.
My grievance was not about insults it was about his credibility.
And you'd base this upon what in this medium?
What we have is an Arising critique of John Gray considered to be a world class thinker.
Arising is a pretentious fool.
Maybe, but a pretentious fool with only one less higher education qualification than your 'hero'. One who also has achieved in two different disciplines, the Arts and the Sciences, a fairly rare occurrence I'm sure you'll not agree. Can you say as much? As such, and unlike you, I find myself not overawed by those who hold such things, respect but not awe(as I've met them). But from what I gather of what you've said so far what you are actually impressed by is the commercial success. Now envious I might be but from a philosophical perspective the mercantile aspect holds little weight, despite the 'masses' buying it.
p.s.
I've not actually attempted any critique of Prof Gray works, this is your selective reading at work. What I have done is expressed an opinion of the use of literature in a supposed work of philosophy as it leads those who have read philosophy to think its emotive politics rather than pure philosophy. Seems to have worked in your case.
