You need to get a grip buddy.

Gerson dates back to a time when our understanding of cancer was pitifully small, like many other therapies of the time, it smacks of desperation. Its claims are overblown and delivered by people with little or no medical background. It does not begin to comply with any kind of double blind study nor has it ever had properly designed peer review articles and studies.

It would seem that I gave you more of a benefit of the doubt than you deserved, You took and twisted from this, what you wanted, and in so doing showed your true colors, I feel sorry for your dumb ass, as you seemingly shall always only see things your way, the wrong way! Take your head out of your ass freak, there's more to life than your twisted sense of self, your relative take. Oh you wounded me, yeah like if I was in the 5th grade, I would have never thought that my being 2 years older than you would mean such a difference in maturity. You misunderstood my rant and you shit in the face of my giving, think about it dumb ass, would I have been so nice, if I had meant what you thought, what a fucking ignoramus you are, I guess it's all your isolated book learning, that you profess to have, at the expense of life experience. Get lost, you fucking 52 year old child!
The truth is, I bested you and you can't take it. I placed your 'truth' bullshit in the gutter where it belongs.
And you take pot shots at innocent bystanders, have you no shame, is nothing sacred, I bet your girl, assuming you have one, assuming someone would actually put up with your stupid ass, would love to know how you treat innocent women just minding their own business, I bet if someone pointed a gun at you, you'd either hide behind a woman or child. You fucking wanker!

Re: The Antichrist
SOB, I am not defending your father. Just stating a fact about both your parents. Too young.
You asked if I would stand up to him. If you mean now, that I am an adult. My answer is yes. With a man like your father , the best weapon of defence against him is the intellect and you are more than adequate in that department. Your story is not uncommon and you are entirely blameless, you were a child living on the battlefield of a mother and father. I would try to move forward with this and you are doing so by receiving therapy.

Probably placing myself in the firing line here; but I don't need to be gunned down by either of you formidable beings.
However, I do need to say that - at first I didn't feel that Chaz was being portrayed as an abuser. Only that SOB reads him as having to be right all the time, and against him, always.
I could have interpreted it differently, from Chaz's perspective. SOB's story linked Chaz with his abusive father and the phrase 'always right' - no matter what. This phrase was repeated throughout the narrative. SOB asked if we could start to see a pattern.
Chaz was placed in an absolute and unchanging position. And yes, the same could be said about SOB, absolutely. Always him against the world, seemingly: ' Unlike all the rest of the people of the world, I do not fear truth'. Whatever that means.
This exchange can no longer be seen as just a 'sidebar'; it is a thread derailed - a train wreck. A pattern ?

Re: The Antichrist
I see it a little differently. There is an association here. Mistrust, which was borne from the abuse SOB had to endure as a child. It is imprinted in his subconscious and unluckily for CW, various traits of CW's expressions unleashed the terror SOB associates with his father. I can see the struggle SOB has with this and it blocks his rational thinking. It is an automatic reaction to his experiences with the father. So SOB has difficulty trusting men. His conscious self recognises CW's offer of help, but the subconscious sets off an alarm. SOB has no trouble trusting women, in fact he has quite a few supporting him. I would not take it personally CW, see it for what it really is. His blind spot. He has intimated that he is working on it.

Re: The Antichrist
Hi SOB,
Here's hoping you get well soon. As far as what has happened to you in your past, I know it's hard to fathom...but you must forgive your father for your own sake and move on. Too much punishment you put yourself through by hanging on to your abusive past.
But this is exactly why I hate psychology. It makes us focus too much on the thought we have been 'harmed.' It almost becomes a game of "who feels the most pain". Causing us to glorify our abusive past and totally devalue our 'happier' side. Almost making our positive side unworthy of any deep insight. I feel N does this too much in his general tone. I also feel that is why he is more popular than K. Because N uses anger to make his point...it is cool in a militant way. K does not do this...K's message is basically the same...only he doesn't blame a particular group. He simply makes a statement and says, "what are your thoughts?' Leaving you to imagine much more and perhaps take on much more personal responsibility. Unlike N...he doesn't give you a way out. Which is what being powerful is about i.e. not able to give our weaknesses power and instead confront our thoughts head on without feeling like a victim. N on the other hand....tells us who is to blame for our problems. He tells us we are victims of Christianity. It is almost as if he chides or goads his followers into having no choice to believe him ...or else be part of the 'problem'. I believe N is popular because he is sort of a 'white knight' or savior for victims of Christianity.

Re: The Antichrist
You're right, I just really took offense when you said that being married with children, when so young was so tough, in essence that he deserved some special consideration because of it. The point was that if you think he had it bad, how about me, I mean the way I see it, it's the parents job to suck it up, make concessions, as adults, not the baby's/child's. I also see that being married young was his fault that he couldn't keep his dick in his pants and not fuck a 14 yo minor, that is molestation of a child here, as he was of legal age at the time, i.e., 18 or older. I don't know if you noticed but all his life it was all about fucking and not making love. His current wife is over 20 years his junior, and is the one a saved from drowning, and she was definitely a goner, If I hadn't heard her struggle, which was only splashing, everyone else was sleeping, she'd be dead. That was years ago and even still he stole the money my grandmother had for me in that insurance policy, in my name. Not that he should necessarily have to pay for his concubine, but I just wonder what her life and my testicle was worth, not to mention all the other hardships I suffered at his hands, due to his extreme selfishness, when I'm only asking for honesty truth and fair-play. After living through what I've lived through, I defy anyone to side with him, even ever so slightly, as he's had ample opportunity to set things right, but for his selfishness! Definitely an unfit father, instead of sticking it in women he should have had it chopped off instead.reasonemotion wrote:SOB, I am not defending your father. And as far as standing up to him, I'm serious when I say that he'd kill you, there is no doubt in my mind. You'd be a fool to do so! I'll not die at the hands of an insane person, at least not knowingly.
Yes the therapy is good, but oh so slow, and I'm so old, I'm afraid that it's set in stone by now, I don't know how much I'll be capable of purging through conscious dealing, assuming I'm even capable of pulling the unconscious bits from the recesses of my mind. For example in Psychology class at university in 1994 I found out that wetting the bed was all about fear. But it wasn't until 2010 that I finally had the epiphany that he caused it when I was 4 YO, with him abusing me into unconsciousness, finally at 52 the shame of wetting the bed was erased. And the only reason it was is because I can remember that 4 YO incident, only because it was one that was so traumatic that I've reiterated it over and over and over again for all these years for the ears of various people, and that was only initially because of a cartoon, actually, as funny as that sounds. Have you ever seen a cartoon when the character gets beaned on the head and it shows a black cloud filled with stars or birds flying in circles over their head? Well, since the age of four, while watching one with a friend, I'd say, that's not true, all you see is black, there are no stars or birds, I know because it happened to me. Can you imagine as an adult, how you'd feel hearing a 4 yo baby adamantly defending this argument with all his might in the light of the above story that I've related. A 4 year old is still a baby in my book.
OK let's get off this shit, it's getting old rather fast.
But in closing, what Chaz failed to consider, as to my meaning, was that it's only logical that I be extremely argumentative, considering the story I related, and that he should look into the mirror of his life's reflection, as he may find the reasons he is similar, in stubbornness, to me, especially in the light of his relative truth. It was probably him just harboring vengeance, as I, unfortunately, tend to do. We can usually only see what we, want/are currently able, to see.
