And all this has what to do with Auden and language? Other than being a spam cover for your religion.

Take a look, I didn't. I just said your words did not do for me what was said on the tin.

It's been more than six months, Arising_uk, since I was at this thread. You are right about Tasmania's blood-soaked history. It's a bit like England's blood-soaked history: you've never know it looking at the delightful landscape.-Ron

Re: W.H. AUDEN: Lanaguage
When are you going to change your title to spell "language" correctly as it makes a mockery of Auden.

Re: W.H. AUDEN: Lanaguage
You should have been a teacher, Arising_uk. On the other hand, you would have gone crazy correcting the spelling and the grammar of students in classrooms in this 21st century. You might like to correct your use of the word "to" in your sentence...."And I think you would to if you got the chance." This minor correction, like mine, should keep Auden happier from his place on the other side, assuming there is another side of the grave beside those worms or the dust of cremation if that is you preferred option. I trust spring brings you some pleasure in the weeks ahead.-Ron Price, Tasmania---as we begin the autumn season.

Re: W.H. AUDEN: Lanaguage
I was a teacher for a while and what annoyed me more than the spelling and grammer was the laziness in not using the spell-checker.

It has been more than 2 years since I have been at this forum-thread. I've been thinking about that editor comment. After 32 years in classrooms as a teacher and tutor, lecturer and adult educator, I must have "edited" 100s of 1000s of pages of stuff.-Ron
