But of course you do speak in riddles!chaz wyman wrote:Let me explain it in very simple terms for your feeble mind to comprehend. JAMit draws an insulting picture of Mohammed or burns a Quran, which is entirely within the law. /quote]bobevenson wrote:chaz wyman wrote: If it is already legal in the USA and the UK to draw pictures of the Prophet Mohammed, then what, pray tell, is the purpose of JAMit?
If you do not have the ability to threaten Muslims, what will be the purpose of this organisation?
You seem a little confused, as usual.
Burning a Koran and making a public display of insulting images of Mohammed is to be cherished and promoted, and is ok
Threatening Salman Rushdie is not.
What kind of a moron are you?

Since you go on so much about democratic rights.
What about the rights of 2.5 million american muslims?

I just did a quick search and watched a guy burning the Koran on Youtube. I don't recall any media coverage of the act at the time so I doubt every American who burns to Koran gets their own spot on Fox News. You burning the Koran isn't the same as a minister doing it.bobevenson wrote:John, I hope you're smarter than you sound. This is just an idea. But let me tell you something, it only takes one person burning the Quran, or the American flag for that matter, to create more news than a million dollars can buy. Hardly newsworthy you say? Come on, John, you're not that dumb.

Unlike France, Muslims should be able to dress as they like and do whatever they want as long as they don't interfere with others. If somebody wants to draw an insulting picture of Jesus or Mohammed, or burn any flag of his choice, he has a right to do so. Now I grant you that burning an American flag in the U.S. is going to cause problems, but so what, the U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled that it is free speech. Unfortunately, you can't do this in Europe without going to jail or worse. Viva Amerika!

You are totally wrong, John. It doesn't matter whether I burn the U.S. flag or the Quran, I'll be on Fox News, CNN and a million other programs. And if you get me enough money, I'll do it tomorrow, and you'll get to see me on TV, which is worth the price pf admission.John wrote:I just did a quick search and watched a guy burning the Koran on Youtube. See, that's why you don't know anything. It's not a question of whether you think something is good or bad, it's a question of whether somebody should be able to legally do something. The problem is that you don't have the slightest idea of what freedom is all about. Turn in your fucking European citizenship, wherever it is, and join the real world, but just don't come to America, we have enough problems!chaz wyman wrote:

Is that because any American doing such an act will get saturated news coverage or is it just if you do it?bobevenson wrote:You are totally wrong, John. It doesn't matter whether I burn the U.S. flag or the Quran, I'll be on Fox News, CNN and a million other programs.
So now you want me to finance you? What, you can't afford to buy a copy of the Koran and a box of matches?bobevenson wrote:And if you get me enough money, I'll do it tomorrow, and you'll get to see me on TV, which is worth the price pf admission.

Re: Anybody Want to Join My New Organization called JAMit?
I missed this post earlier but where in Europe has someone gone to jail for insulting a religious figure or burning a book or a flag? I certainly can't think of any cases in the UK but maybe I've forgotten a wider European example. Of course, Germany has it's particular laws on Holocaust denial but they're not about insults so I'm not sure what precedent you're citing here.bobevenson wrote:Unfortunately, you can't do this in Europe without going to jail or worse. And whilst you ignore most of the post, perhaps you might like to say what you mean by 'it', that is peppered throughout this response.bobevenson wrote:See, that's why you don't know anything. If you are seriously advocating JAMit, then it has to have a position on this and other issues.
So if I join your organisation will you support me if I want to use a copy of the Constitution to wipe my arse and burn the US flag? You will actively lend support to such behaviour.
I am an American citizen BTW.
It is just that with morons like you out there I am often ashamed to admit it and be associated with people like you.
FYI - there is no such thing as a European citizenship - your ignorance is boundless.

"Ragheads"bobevenson wrote:Hell, no, you don't have the right to threaten people with violence in the USA. Although come to think of it! Isn't this 'God' the same one the Muslims believe in?
