I am planning a new philosophy magazine, where people who contribute will be paid.
Not paying people is a sign of being a sociopath.
We must all guard against such people.
Do you, yes you, have an interesting article in mind ?

Does that mean we should be charging you money to advertise your magazine here on the Philosophy Now Forum?
Best of luck with your mag.

Actually, that is a bloody good idea !
We shall advertise on your website and in your magazine and bung you some cash for other things.
We can pay in advance if you want, i do not like credit, it gets confusing.
Marvelous idea !
Is in research now, then goes to planning company and accountants and then we talk with the finance raising expert.
I may not be able to fiddle, but from a small village a great city state I can build
yar, recessions great, lots of unemployed experts with nothing to do, yarrrr, loves it

"Where there is abundance there is no money to be made." - Jacque Fresco
There is an absolute abundance of people with philosophical opinions and so forth. You need something special which nobody else has to be able to sell it.

Clearly he never saw the celebrity section of magazine racks. There's your angle, Jason, Footballers Views, you'll be laughing. (Or at least the readers will.)

The professional market research person shall do that, pull the accounts of philosophy now magazine, check mark segments etc.
Each to their own division of labour.

I think that people who are interested in philosophy do not have much money (other philosophers) and those who have money are not interested in philosophy, they do business and consider philosophers as trouble-makers.
So how could philosophical writers be paid ?
A foundation (Stiftung) could pay them. Alfred Nobel made one and it still works and rewards human achievements.
Some people die and do not know what to do with their money. Many used to give their money to "the Church" or to an asylum for cats and dogs. They might be convinced to contribute to such a foundation.
And instead of printing and sending magazines one could offer an e-version, downloadable on a "reader" or printable on demand.
This would be good for the environment.
And for those who wish to spare their eyes an audible version should be made available, with the author himself lecturing or explaining his point of view to the rest of the world. Voice carries a huge amount of information. That is why I go to lectures often.
I got one issue of PhilosophyNow Magazine as a gift some years ago (number 47) and I still keep it because there is a small picture of a brightly smiling Rick in it, as an editing director.

Yes. I've got an idea for an article called;"Transference syndrome of politically right-wing sociopaths."
I would expect to be paid a generous stipend.
