The Jesus Head - Sunday Sermon

Everyone lives their lives as if the world revolved around them.
But one day the rituals you follow, with such commitment and fervour,
will melt against death.
Time and space will record no movement
and nothing you did was worth more than a handful of sand.
Every word spoken in anger and every word written
in blood.
It will be as if you never were and every utterance never happened.

Is the use of 'Everyone', (a) a ruse or (b) a sweeping generalisation :?:

(b) & (a) http://www.wikihow.com/Detect-Arrogant-People
At some point or another, most people realize that the world doesn't revolve around them. Arrogant people counteract this by creating an atmosphere that centers around them
(b) http://www.positivityblog.com/index.php ... round-you/
One great way to make your life unnecessarily hard and difficult is to assume that the world revolves around you.

You write that with a sense of doom and foreboding. I have no desire to be revered or remembered. I will have "done" my time.

TJH when the Grim Reaper comes for you it will be Rien ne va plus OR No more bets OR the die is cast so WTF.

TJH, why are you so unhappy?
Life is good, even if rather short.
People are good, or as good as they can be, most of the time.
Love is good. you should try it.
Hope is well worth having, too!

Isaiah 41:10-13

11 “See, all your angry enemies lie there,
confused and humiliated.
Anyone who opposes you will die
and come to nothing.
12 You will look in vain
for those who tried to conquer you.
Those who attack you
will come to nothing.
13 For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.

Does Isiah, or any other Scripture, have anything meaningful to say to people who don't think they're surrounded by enemies?

TJH, why are you so unhappy?
Happiness is an illusion; so too is unhappiness.
Life is good, even if rather short.
It's shorter than you think if you measure it by an eternity of death.
People are good, or as good as they can be, most of the time.
People are predators and they wax and wane their charms.
Love is good. you should try it.
Love is an illusion.Reproduction of the species is the
goal of mankind.
Hope is well worth having, too!
Hope is not necessary. You are going to die soon so why do you need hope?
Hope ends in death.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

You write that with a sense of doom and foreboding.
Are you not doomed ?
What separates us is my foreboding and your illusion of a life without end.
TJH when the Grim Reaper comes for you it will be Rien ne va plus OR No more bets OR the die is cast so WTF.
Knowledge of death cannot defeat the vanity of existence.

TJH:
What separates us is my foreboding and your illusion of a life without end.
REM:
I have no illusion of a life without end. I have no illusions about anything. This is it, this is all I can expect, my one significant life. I am born, I learn to live, I fall in love, I marry, I fall in love again, I give birth, I see my child become an adult and then I see her taking my place, falling in love, marrying, giving birth and then I die and she continues in this life and then she dies and her child continues on. There is no illusion it is all here in front of me. Nothing behind the curtain, if there was, it would have been pillaged a couple of thousand years ago. Sold over and over again to the highest bidder of course. So please, quit the melodramatics, it is painful to read when a person has been there and done that and struggled to triumph over adversity. You are beginning to sound ridiculous.

TJH:
Knowledge of death cannot defeat the vanity of existence.
REM:

Another hollow melodramatic statement above.

Just another small detail you overlooked.

Saturday, is the seventh day of the week and is kept as the sabbath

Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) kept the seventh day of the week as the Sabbath. Had he not done so he would have been classified as a sinner.
Jewish communities around the world have since the Diaspora kept track of the seventh day Sabbath; and all agree it is the day commonly known as Saturday.
Calendar changes in the year 1582 did not affect the days of the week in the weekly cycle.
Christian theologians all agree that Saturday is the 7th day of the week and Sunday is the 1st.
These facts prove that Saturday is the seventh day of the week. They also mean that all true believers in Yahweh the Almighty God of Israel should keep this day holy as required in the Ten Commandments. (MP3) Failure to do so is sin.
