...upon an open forum its more just people thinking that whatever they post is philosophical, rather than thinking philosophically about what they post.

What's your point? We can read Amod's post where it was originally so why have you reposted it?

Well, that my friend, is where philosophy steps in...
Ya see, philosophically I can reflect and question your response to my original post.
I notice that you did not relate directly to what I was trying to convey.
Actually, you seem to have questioned me as opposed to philosophically responding; thinking philosophically.
Thank you for responding.

So what was it you were trying to convey?
As you did not say anything? Philosophically that is.

It's hard to know what you're trying to convey Bill. Ever thought it might be your communication skills rather than our comprehension skills?

Don't you have confidence in yourself?
Think philosophically...people thinking that whatever they post is philosophical, rather than thinking philosophically about what they post.
Have confidence in your philosophical intuition. - go with that!
Thank you for responding.

How long will it take for people to finally realize that Bill's brain is not wrapped as tightly as recommended???
(P.S. Bill, please don't bother to thank me for responding.)

Still not hearing what you actually think about what AMod said?

..............................................................
From the bottom of my heart. Please re-read the entire body of posts. It's amazing...
Like ΩMod & AMod I have nothing but complete respect for the entire body of members that have collected here.
Thank you for asking this important question.
I am satisfied that my position is more clarified and hopefully, better understood.

Feel free to step in anytime now.
What are your thoughts about your out-of-context quote of AMods, I assume you have some? After all you did ask him why he thought those who sign-up to the facebook page of the PN mag did not visit the forum. He appears to have given his rare opinion upon your question.
If this was such a concern of yours why not ask why the 3,000 odd who are signed up here do not post? My answer is that most are probably spam-bots.

This is directed at everyone except Bill Wiltrack.
I am new to this forum and I do not know whether or not it is worth responding to Bill Wiltrack. My question is, "Does Bill Wiltrack ever engage in philosophical discussion, or are his posts just the same kind of stuff he is displaying here?"
cheers,

I'm sorry. This is what I meant to convey,

I guess I should have stated that up-front. My Bad.
I thank everyone who took the time to reflect and respond within this thread.

So you post what you think is philosophical because Amod said so, rather than think about the philosophical basis of simply quoting someone else rather than offer so of your own homespun wisdom?
PS I just hate that "my bad" americanism. It's not like I resist the growth of language, but this is just a temporary aberration that will not contribute to the wealth of English as there are so many other
grammatical ways to convey the same sentiment.
