What is your favorite philosophical book?

I mean a real philosophical work.
The kind of book that doesn't have any pictures or highlighted text, or text in a larger font, just none of those things that distracts from deep thought.
Just list the books, publisher, and date of release.
Happy reading!

Thus Spake Zarathustra.
It is easy to read. You can disagree all the time. It is never boring. It is a challenge to your linguistic feelings.

Ryonosuke Akutagawas's novel "Rashomon" though a novel, it consist of many philosophical dilemmas, and has no pictures and underlinings. Akira Kurosawa once made a black-and-white movie of it...
Agree with duszek on Zarathustra: all Nietsches works are great... especially Birth of tragedy, though a bit demanding on the reader...
The anime-series Naruto, if to view in respect to japanese folklore and customs gives alot of thoughts. That should be it for starters.

I think my favourite would have to be 'Ibid'. It seems to be the most quoted, referenced and cited work of all time on everything from aardvarks and astronomy to Zambia and zoology, but when I asked for it in the library they looked at me as if I was some kind of nut. Perhaps I should check out amazon.com...

I never joke about good books

Besides, the different accounts of the same storyline give it a boost, to listen to the trials many versions - in the end you are so shaken up that you think oh what, no whats happening...

Every witness gives a glimpse of a roll in ancient society, and these rolls are active today aswell

I might have also sugested Oidipus or King Lear, but since I havent actually read them but the reviews of them, it didnt add up to this topic...

Just a philosophy book is dead if you cant see the philosophy working in life...

Philosophy is life.
Our individual philosophies are woven within each of our moments.

There is a compendium edition, comprising Ibid, Passim, and Op Cit. It's my favourite sandy-beach browsing kit.

Could you summarize Ibid in one sentence?
Could you summarize for me the Passim in one sentence?
Could you summarize for me the essence of the Op Cit in one sentence?
I thank you for your civility and patience ahead of time...
