Agnostic, cheeky monkey, student-philosopher with an interest in bio-ethics, journalism, fiction and journeying - greetings!

Current affairs: recent paper on the Tea Party, American Politics and Global affairs. Another on the compatibility of Islam and Liberalism which was proposed FOR and in the affirmative.

Weaknesses: Pure analytic philosophy (hates it when some philosophers choose to hide in logical puzzles) - i do enjoy logic but i think Kant does lay out its limitations in the CPR quite well...

Politics: Inert and wanting: but not desperate! Bit of a keenie-greenie... despise current Westminster politics. Anti-War.

Future Goals: reflective-analytic journalism with a touch of colour! Something like an observing journey-man and perhaps a possible 'vizier' on specific issues but with no preference as to which political entity i so happen to be 'advising'...

Fav philosophers: Various ---- Camus, Nussbaum, Singer, Searle, Chomsky, Daly, Kant, Plato, Hegel, Mill, Russell, Shopenhauer, Hume, Bentham, Nietzche.. and of course surrealist fiction writers like Haruki Murakami (especially the Wind-up Bird Chronicle), Banana Yoshimoto 'Kitchen' and other quirky but profoundly 'de-focalizing' stories...

That's my nutshell intro... happy days!

Hi, Joblin. That's quite a list. I have read some of Chomsky's stuff, and (as far as I can follow it,) I'm impressed. Heard Nussbaum in a couple of radio interviews, and liked her.
By Daly, do you mean Mary Daly? I love her style!
The rest of the names on your list, I've heard of, and read bits.
But the general political direction you're taking looks good to me.
