Welcome JJ,
Hope you enjoy it here. Which version of Wittgenstein are you provoking?

Welcome,

Would you like to elaborate on "Wittgensteinian provocateur"?

I naturally take, without study, a Wittgensteinian perspective.

This makes me an object of hate in philosophy. Even supposed Wittgensteinians hate me.

My average survival time on moderated forums is three weeks.

Most writers on philosopohy sites are anti-Kantian, anti-Wittgensteinian. It is a default, natural position, in the blood. Those that aren't generally recognise each other, but survival rates for these people are low.

What is a Wittgensteinian perspective?

It seems I'll need to know that if I'm going hate you too. Just kidding!

Seriously, please articulate the Wittgensteinian perspective. I've heard mention of the fellow, but that's about it.

Thanks!

You will hate me.
I write playfully and will advance a lie for a better purpose.
But you will, let's say 75% chance at least, reject me wholsesale.

You are lucky. I have just posted on General Philosophy about the Wittgensteinian perspective, "as old as blood" which is a transcendentally ideal view.

Can I learn more about you before diving in to hating you?

Like who are you, what do you do, where do you do it, why do you do it, and stuff like that?

Ok, I'm off to check it out, thanks!

:? You make this sound almost like a boast. In my experience, people who boast about being banned are usually hoping it'll happen again and end up going out of their way to make themselves unwelcome. I hope you aren't one of those, John.

I has a quick dip into your blog.
But, until the arrival of Homo Sapiens, species have been the dominant vessel for life.
I think the inverse of this is true. Life never needed any vessel. It was not until humans defined the vessel 'species' that such an entity was significant at all.
Life is not concerned with anything, not even with its own preservation.

What the hell? How is 'life' an entity other than the living things themselves?

Its not that everyone hates those perspectives its just that they are often hard to justify in a modern context. also Wittgenstein does love to be pedantic and contrary! x
