Philosophy Now Forum

Hello everybody! I'm a sophomore in college with a strong interest in public affairs, sociology and philosophy. I'm from Brooklyn, NY and 19, so I guess it's safe to assume I'm young here relative to other posters. Someday I hope to help the disadvantaged whether through politics, education, and/or writing. I come to this board mostly for philosophic discussion (sorry for stating the obvious) because I want to have more academic-driven discussions on philosophy, as well as feedback on my work and beliefs. I'm mostly here to learn, but to also be challenged. I've always had a knack for thinking deeper into things than anyone else, and albeit depressing, I just have developed a belief that it is the true way to happiness, although recognizing I can very well be wrong.
