Hello from the Netherlands

Hi Everyone,
This is the very first forum I have decided to participate in. I currently work and live in the north of the Netherlands. Although, I have studied International communication I have been passionate about philosopy as a hobby since I was twelve years old. It was at this age that I suddenly realised, during a summer evening lying awake in bed, that everyone I knew and loved, at some point, would die. I immediately set to analysing live and death. As a result I have come to live with beliefs and convictions that were created by my own thought process.
I am now quite comfortable and no longer have pressing questions like I had when I was little. Nonetheless, I still find it unendlessly fascinating to learn about the variety of perspectives that there are out there in the world and I am always happy with a new epiphany!
